A ripping final concluded today in La Cruz / Bucerias with plenty of wind and waves for the sailors and 3 big races. The regatta is over but the sailing is just beginning.

It's windy here EVERY SINGLE DAY and Elena Oetling sits atop the leaderboard at the first annual Mexican Midwinters Regatta after 6 races. 3 Bourquin brothers and Alec Bostan from Canada round out the top 5. Conditions, competition and vibes are strong. Race committee and volunteers are hard to beat also. There are still 3 battles ahead for these sailors with only a 4 point spread between the top 3.

Many regatta participants combined the regatta with pre-training beforehand working for 3 consecutive days with Paul Swan PhD on their starting. This lead to the perfect chance to integrate their learnings in a real racing environment.

There are still some clinics spots left in the best part of our season with Olympic Gold Medalists, Olympic Coaches, ILCA Masters Champions and more.

Have you heard about the Mexican Midwinter Regatta? It's happening right now. www.mexicanmidwinters.com We're super excited to be hosting. Warm water, fresh breezes, amazing friends and... tacos. It's hard to beat. 21 radials showed up to the first annual. We're running 3 big races per day with an amazing volunteer RC. Hope to see you here in La Cruz next year for the 3 day event. The quality training never stops. We just finished a completely sold out Downwind Clinic with 3X Olympic Coach Vaughn Harrison. And now 12 boats showed up for the latest 3 day Starting Clinic with Paul Swan PhD.

Sailors have been hammering starts in a building breeze for 3 days straight to tune up for the Mexican Midwinters regatta this week. This season has been incredible for wind with 100% of clinic days sailed. We are always so grateful for all our amazing clients/sailors, conditions and coaches.

This is the best preparation an ILCA sailor can do for a big regatta or an upcoming spring season.

Canadian Sailing Team Member Liam Bruce 🇨🇦️️ just finished an extremely productive training block here at ISA. He worked with 3X Olympic Coach Vaughn Harrison 🇨🇦️️ mostly on speed in a variety of conditions from light air to heavy.

They focused on many high level nuances upwind - some angle refinement and hiking timing primarily. Downwind he focused on some new body position adaptations as well as identifying and shifting gears through our downwind conditions/technique ladder.

Liam is looking super strong in the boat and we look forward to watching him develop through the next few years.
