The Aztec Calendar in Fact is not…….
It’s actual name is The sun stone a 260 day ritual consistent of 52 years which was the Aztec Century. Is an unfinished e sculpture a piece. In the back of it was fractured and work stop it was used for offerings and sacrifices as the tong of the central image has turned into a sacrificial Knive and on each side is holding two hearts of the offered sacrifices. In the bottom we can appreciate the faces of the deities, facing each other with serpent bodies and at the end of their bodies the representations of sugar cane which symbolizes the the current year when the stone was carved.
