DOLCE FAR NIENTE 😊

My early 30’s were a period of high functioning burnout. It looked like still showing up, still achieving, still smiling, but feeling exhausted, detached, and wondering when life started feeling more like obligation than choice. I called it productivity. My nervous system was dysregulated and feeding the loop of overdrive until I learned the hard way that rest is a skill and not only necessary, but vital for my health and longevity.

I have my high achiever clients imagine energy as a gas stove- one burner for work, one burner for your family, one burner # for your social life, and one burner for yourself. Which is too hot at the sacrifice of the others? They can’t all be on max without compromise. Where is the energy directed and what is left for your Self?
