Spent a few days on Okeechobee for a year-end club tournament and came home with some spending money. The wind made it interesting the last few days! The first few months of the year are a blur without a lot of fishing results, but I’m hopeful to change that once things settle shortly.

Had an amazing trip to Mexico with and . The fish were in a post-spawn funk but we managed to find a few big girls out roaming. The staff there were incredible and I have no doubt I met life-long friends among this group of hammers. Can’t wait to go back!

REALLY looking forward to the dog days of summer ending in Florida. It has been brutally hot and the fish are very lethargic. This one apparently didn’t get the memo.

HUGE shout out to for doing an amazing carpet job on my boat! His attention to detail is incredible and this boat looks brand new. He added padding to the entire deck (including rod lockers and the rear passenger area—which my fishing partner commented helped relieve back pressure tremendously).

Then we added Dura-Deck Marine Products to the cockpit to help with fast drying and draining. Russ at Dura-Deck was incredibly@helpful throughout the process and made sure we had everything we needed.

This old boat just had her life extended by years through this exercise, and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Mark for any of your carpet needs in Central Florida. When you work with good people, you get good results.

Well, the first RMMC of the year didn’t go as planned. We found in practice what we thought would be the juice. Boy were we wrong. We ended up with a two-day weight less than the leaders were weighing in one day 😬 But that’s fishing and it was a great time on the water. Onto the next one!

Gorgeous day on the water today as a captain for . I was messing around in the back of the boat with a big bait and this one couldn’t resist the . I felt bad catching a nice one when the teens could have used it, but not bad enough to miss taking the photo. 😬🤣
