FOOTBALL FOR SRHR

Saturday, July 18 2026, shall remain historic to us as an organisation.

On this day, we hosted 20 under 15 girls from Mthawira Primary School in Ntchisi district through our partnership with the United States Embassy in Malawi.

The girls joined our Under 15 girls team for mentorship sessions which were led by our Director of Adminstration Alice Munthali and Schools Manager Linda Kasenda.

The sessions focused on issues of Sexual Reproductive Health Rights, HIV prevention as well career guidance.

Outgoing Peace Corps volunteer Carly Mollin, who facilitated the trip described the sessions as motivating and inspiring.

"Some of these girls are visiting Lilongwe for the first time.I believe this interaction shall leave a long lasting impact on their lives", said Mollin.

On her part, Director Munthali said as an organisation, MMM believes in football as a tool that can drive change among adolescent girls.

"This is not just about football.We want to create a safer environment where girls can compete while at the same time focusing on their goals", said Munthali.

For 14 year old learner Bridget Maziko, history was made.She was visiting Lilongwe for the first time.Football took her to the city she dreamt of once visiting.

"It's my first time to visit Lilongwe and all that has been made possible because of a combination of school and football.Some of my friends couldn't make it on this trip because they dropped out of school due to early pregnancies but here I am today", said the Standard eight learner who just sat for the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examinations.

Hearing from the girls' stories, one thing came out clear. Issues of Sexual Reproductive Health Rights need an honest discussion and on Saturday we provided that platform.

ON TO THE NEXT ONE.

Excited to progress to the quarterfinals of the FED Steel Engineering cup.

Goals from Worship Chinkondenji, Fortune Foster and Raymond Mazuwa were enough to guarantee us victory over JF Plumbers in a 3-1 home win.

On aggregate, we progress 4-1 having won the first leg 1-0 away last Sunday.

ADVANTAGE MMM

We kicked off our 2026 season with an win away against JF Plumbers at the Lilongwe Technical College in the first leg of the round of 16 of the FED Steel Under 19 Lilongwe district tournament.

A lone Tatenda Kamwendo first half strike was all what we needed to boost our chances of advancing to the quarterfinals ahead of the return home match.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT!

On Saturday we hosted kids from Likuni and Chinsapo under Play Football Malawi.

This is part of our continuous efforts to make conducive playing surfaces accessible to all kids regardless of their social status.

At the end of it, the kids had fun.Some shared their experiences of playing at a facility like Lilongwe Golf Club for the first time in their life.
