WS Bet shows up for SWAM
The WS BET has donated K5 million to Sports Writers Association of Malawi towards the association's upcoming Annual General Meeting and World Sports Journalists Day Commemorations scheduled for next month in Salima.
WS Bet Finance Director Blessings Banda said the partnership is very vital because of the role that sports journalists play in the sports development.
Speaking on the partnership, SWAM Vice President Lucy Kadzongwe expressed gratitude to WS Bet for demonstrating confidence in the association and the crucial role sports journalists play in promoting and developing sport through accurate, informative, and professional reporting.
"This generous contribution from WS Bet comes at a critical time as we prepare for our AGM. The support will assist in meeting various logistical requirements and ensure the successful hosting of the gathering. We are grateful for this partnership and the confidence that WS Bet has shown in our association."
SWAM therefore calls upon other companies and institutions to emulate WS Bet's gesture by partnering with the association in its efforts to promote professionalism, capacity building, and excellence in sports journalism across Malawi.
