Hello all mountain bikers! We are planning two events this year. Dates will be announced in the next couple of weeks. I am waiting for the rivers to subside so I can go out and finalize the route. Please feel free to comment and make suggestions/recommend dates etc. Let's get the wheels rolling. This route will be raced twice this year in opposite directions! Brace yourselves.. it's a fantastic challenge 🚵‍♂️

Mangochi rides are becoming very interesting 😆 I've been doing some exploring lately and found some amazing technical single tracks by passing most village so the rides are peaceful and quiet with awesome bush and views. Anyone in the lake are over weekends keen for a ride let me know.

Took some peeps out to get opinions on the routes I've set for the 24th July 2021! The feedback was great and everyone is excited about the race and the new routes. Best you start training. Let's make a weekend of fun and catching up since we haven't been able to meet for so long.!!

Let's get the wheels rolling again guys. We are returning to the venue of the very first Winter Series race ever held. Over the past few years the Winter Series grew from just 23 entries to 89 entries at our last race in Zomba. We are extremely proud of the growth of MTB in Malawi and it is all thanks to you our valued supporters. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

A big thank you to all our amazing cycling buddies that competed in this year’s series. The final race was held in beautiful Zomba and it did not disappoint!

“Bike riding is a way to explore… a way to explore nature and the world”

This Saturday 28th September is the final event for 2019 starting and finishing at Kuchawe hotel in Zomba. Registration will be held from 6.30am to 7.30am in the car park at kuchawe. The race will start at 8am. We have changed the starting time to allow for people to finish earlier and not have to leave before prize giving. Prize giving will be at 1 pm regardless of everyone being finished or not. All finishers will receive their tshirts and medals.
The routes are both very similar to last year. Short route just over 20km and the long route around 43 km with over 1000 meters of elevation. Both routes are really nice with lots of single track and beautiful scenery. There will be two water stations to top up and keep hydrated. A minibus will leave the blantyre sports club at 5AM for those who need a lift to the race. It will return after prize giving. For those who need bikes taken to Zomba, the trailer is available! We have moved to Furr road. The Green town houses on the left as you leave Blantyre heading towards Chikwawa. Please ensure your bikes are loaded by 5pm on Thursday afternoon. Entry fee 3500 for Malawian citizens and 18000 kwacha for international riders. Prize money will be for individual Series winners only. See you all on Saturday.
