FC Kuredu won vs Palm Beach SC (Score 7-3)

Today in the last match of the group stage of Kuredu Cup 2012 FC Kuredu won vs Palm Beach 7-3. Even before the match started it was clear that the two teams would face each other again in the final on the 15th. However as always when these two teams play against each other, it was a great match.

FC Kuredu took the lead after two goals from Joe, who carried his great form over from the last game vs Kanuhura. In the second half FCK continued to score and took a 5-0 lead before giving away a penalty that Palm Beach converted. FCK then scored another two goals, the last one by Thodu who a few moments later gave away another penalty and received a red card. In the dying moments of the game Palm beach SC scored a long range effort to bring the final score to 7-3.

FC Kuredu will play vs Palm Beach SC in the final of Kuredu Cup on the 15th of September. After this match FCK's #12 Thodu is suspended from the final, and FCK's #9 Asjau leads the golden boot standings after bagging an incredible 6 goals in 3 games.

MNDF drew with Kanuhura (Score: 2-2)

Yesterday in a very close game MNDF and Kanuhura played their last games of the cup. The score ended 2-2 with MNDF securing 3rd place with a penalty 3 minutes into extra time!
Both MNDF and Kanuhura managed to collect 1 point during the group stage of the competition and MNDF won 3rd place because they had a better goal difference (MNDF -7 / Kanuhura -10)

FC Kuredu Won the match 5-0 vs Kanuhura

On the 8th of September FC Kuredu played their second game of the tournament vs Kanihura Island Resort. FC Kuredu won the Game 5-0, during the game a big storm hit the whole of Maldives.
Due to rescue and aid work the tournament was postponed until further notice.
Yesterday the tournament continued, as MNDF played vs Palm Beach SC. Palm Beach SC won the match. Today MNDF will Play against Kanuhura, and tomorrow FC Kuredu will play vs Palm Beach SC.
The Final will be held on Saturday 15th of September.
