Happy identification birthday to our beloved Pirate (F-040)

Back in 2019 pirate was officially added to our catalogue, making her as the 40th tiger identified on the island.

Since then, pirate has been logged in the harbour over 800 times and has easily established her as one of the most famous sharks across the whole of the Maldives!

When did you first meet our pirate?

Now, Fuvahmulah is home to a catalogue of over 325!

We have lift-off!

Stunning scenes in the harbour as our sharks secure their well deserved tuna! Despite the abundance of sharks, the competition to secure food is relatively low- leading to very peaceful interactions around the island ❤️

There are moments underwater that don’t feel real… and then there’s the thresher shark. 🦈🌊
Watching this incredible creature glide through the blue, with that unmistakably long tail moving like a whip, is a reminder of just how wild, mysterious, and beautiful our oceans truly are.

A rare encounter with one of the ocean’s most fascinating predators graceful, powerful, and completely mesmerizing. 💙

The ocean never stops surprising you. 🌊✨
