We are running a special on the Tuli Safaris at Limpopo Horse Safaris for the months of June and July. Our classic and most popular safari, the Tuli Safari, is a seven night mobile safari, which covers approximately 120 miles over the course of the week and is scheduled from March to October. Each riding day ends at beautiful camps with welcoming walk-in tents, full size beds, fresh cotton linen and hot showers. The safari embraces fine dining in the wilderness and every evening is a delightful mix of good food and good company.. If you are interested in experiencing this holiday of a life time, send me your email address in a message and I will send you full details with a sample itinerary. You won't regret it!!!

To all our wonderful clients, many of whom came more than once, and were soon to be thought of as special friends, I am now managing Limpopo Horse Safaris in the Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana. If you are an experienced rider, and want to discover the thrill of riding in REAL Africa, in the Tuli block in what is known as "The Land of the Giants", please have a look at the Limpopo Horse Safaris web page and come and have a taste of life on the wild side!!!! Only for experienced riders due to the dangerous game we ride with, this will be the holiday of a life time! Come and make memories in the saddle of our trusty, well schooled steeds.

Our dear old Arusha, living a life of luxury in Jersey in the Channel Islands. For those of you that remember this beautiful old gentleman, he was adopted by Monica, one of my volunteers, and taken home as a little souvenir of her time with us. He is happily retired and thoroughly spoilt!!! Who remembers riding this special old boy???

To anyone who ever rode Simply Green while he was with us at Mauritius Horse Trails for three years, please comment on your experience with riding him so we can find him a new half owner.

Kim and I spent the morning at the airport yesterday in the hot sun while the poor horses waited 6 hours before being loaded for their flight. Before we got there, poor Sandy, Kayla and Olivier had to contend with a stallion that had reared over the partition in the trailer and caught his leg in the railings. Sandy and Olivier had to round up any passer by to help them hold the six horses they had frantically off loaded to get to the stallion, that still had its leg trapped. How he didn't break it was a miracle. Kim and I rushed through to help and then roped in my sister in law and her family that are here on holiday to help hold the horses and give them a break from standing in the hot trolleys. They were all very well behaved with planes landing and taking off right next to them. They were finally loaded in the afternoon and we said emotional good byes to Arusha before they were driven off to be loaded on the plane . He should be in Jersey within the next week - Monica is desperate to see him. Adieu, dear Arusha! We will love you forever!

To all our loyal supporters that helped us become No 1 on Trip Advisor and kept us in that position for so long - a HUGE thank you! It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Mauritius Horse Trails has closed its doors for now, due to all sorts of circumstances beyond my control. All of our horses have been re-homed (Arusha is on his way to Jersey as we speak!). But we might well be back in a year or two when circumstances change. Thanks again to my AMAZING staff and right hand lady, Suzie. I couldn't have done any of it without you! So until we ride again, go well my friends!

With the help of Suzie, my right hand lady and chauffeur, we have been visiting "Our Boys" around the island, checking up on their new homes. Suzie has been an incredible help, handling all the driving while I have to lie back and sleep of my head aches. Its been so special spending time with each of our Boys, and although they will never have the good life they had at Mauritius Horse Trails (huge boxes, plenty of bedding, lots of feed and extra yummy treats, living outdoors in their "herd" and enjoying the company of great clients on our spectacular trails) they are in the second best homes. All sadly missed but at least we can still visit and spend quality time with them all.

A very sad day for us today. Moved the last two of our horses - took all of my fantastic staff along and spent the day getting them settled in their new home. It was awful driving back into the stable yard and looking at all those empty boxes! Closed three years almost to the day of starting. Its been one amazing ride! Thanks to the support and great reviews from all our past clients that had us voted No 1 on Trip Advisor!

Dear Old Arusha left for his 45 days in quarantine on Monday morning. Already sadly missed. My grooms think I am losing it! Keep telling them to do this and that with Arusha, forgetting he is no longer with us. But he's going to SUCH a good home. Going to visit him in quarantine next week once all the other horses have left. SO sad!!! But relieved to have managed to find them all really good homes.

Sadly there won't be any last trail rides for me on my beautiful boys -I have been booked off riding by my neurologist after a bad fall three weeks ago, for at least six months, may be as long as two years! SO frustrating! Already planning on coming back on holiday next year so that I can come back and have those "last rides" into the sunset with my boys!
