14th IFK National Knockdown Tournament 2026
People often the tournament day, the fights, the medals, the trophies and the setup. But a tournament is so much more than that.
It begins months before the event with planning, organizing, preparing categories, and making sure every single detail is in place. Then comes the eve of the tournament, where a dedicated team spends hours setting up the hall, like this one, which end at 2am on 2nd August for our 2nd August tournament.
Behind every successful tournament are sleepless nights, sacrifices, and countless hours of work that many people never see.
A tournament is never the work of one person. It is the result of a team working together with one goal.
Our coaches dedicate their time to selecting, training, and preparing every fighter to perform at their best. Sensei Zaynab and Sensei Rayhaan spend hours preparing and classifying more than 200 fighters from over 15 dojos into so many categories, with every category carefully checked and approved by Shihan Nazir before the event.
On tournament day, none of it would be possible without our backstage officials, presidium officials, timer officials, central referees, judges, corner officials, volunteers, the tournament manager, and every single person who gives their time and energy to make the event run smoothly.
Whether your role was big or small, visible or behind the scenes, you were an important part of this success. Every contribution mattered.
To everyone who helped before, during, and after the tournament, thank you for your dedication, your commitment, and your passion. This tournament was a success because of teamwork, and we are truly grateful to each and every one of you.
