After a FWD champions day in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, we move onto the UK 🇬🇧 for the guineas week at Newmarket on the Saturday 6 th of may 2023 .
Let’s revive last year edition won by coroebus beating the hot favorite stable mate Native Trail giving goldophin and Charlie appleby the quinella.

BEST IN BUSINESS AND BY FAR
The HKJC has held a very good level of competition today at the FWD champions day with three group one on the program , with some very good international horses from Japan , Australia , Great Britain and even New Zealand with the best jockeys in the world , Tom Marquand , James Macdonald , Cristian Demuro and Joao Moreira .
The first group one was the chairman sprint cup on 1200m , won impressively by lucky sweynesse and Zac Purton dominating the japanese horse , Aguri . Since the unlucky defeat in the HKIR ,Lucky Sweynesse has established himself as the new king of sprint ahead wellington and today confirms that he is probably one of the best in the world. There has been some noise that he will aim at the 15 million dollar race , The Everest , in the past we have seen Australian sprinters go to Hong Kong but now we can see the reserve way and what a race it can be , Lucky Sweynesse confronting I Wish I Win , Giga kick and Mazu , that sounds a very promising Everest this year .

We move onto the mille which we saw Golden sixty creating history with becoming the highest earners in Hong Kong and over 18 million dollars , with becoming the first one to win three times in a row the FWD champions mille . Possibly the best horse that has ever step in Hong Kong and by far , whats next for the local hero - retirement or continue racing , we live that in the hands of Francis lui but we might never see anyone like Golden sixty again , you can feel in the parade ring how much this horse means to the locals.
On the QE II CUP now , where Romantic warrior and James Macdonald has won the race easily and the Danny shum trained horse has won it last year wiith Karis Teetan on board and this year with James Macdonald , unbeaten this duo so far and maybe they will head for tenno sho in Japan with a clash with the world highest rated horse Equinox .
3/3 for Hong Kong this year and even the Japanese cannot contest this . How Hong kong became soo powerful , mainly due to its prizemoney and they are able to buy quality horses from almost everywhere around the world and being able to organise big events such like this year in year out shows that they are far ahead in this game and everywhere around the world needs to do more .

Macdonald, Joao Moreira, and Zac Purton (absent on championship-day 2), three of the best world riders riding on the star - championship in New South Wales.
In Australia, where we have such a large horse racing industry, they are keeping up with the pace in this fierce billion dollar industry by having some of the best races in the world, world class horses, and the best sprinters in the world.

The success of the industry there is primarily due to its passionate punter population. In other part of the world especially in the UK 🇬🇧 where the BHA are struggling to get the industry into right order and specially with the affordability cheques problem and the public is not going at the racetrack anymore , they prefer to go picnic outside the track , so this does not give a good image of horse racing and on the other hand Australia racetrack whether in Victoria or in New South Wales they have public in great number and you can see how much they enjoy their racing. You can notice the number of British people are moving out in Australia 🇦🇺 with the likes of Annabel nesham, Dave eustace and many more apprentices to land over there .

What needs to improve for Australia to be in the top of the world will be making an effort on bringing whole class stallions ( sire ) and mare ( dam) on the middle distance side because this is the only part I think they can copy the Japanese where they hit the jackpot with Sunday silence in the late 90s because when you see Dubai honor , a B class middle distance horse coming and slamming anamoe, the best WFA horse in the country, so there is a little to work on the middle distance side.

TJ smith (race 7) - It is one of the most upcoming races we have been waiting for , Giga kick will have zac purton on board and second up will be better and Mazu draws gate 1 , so beware of this one

This is a very competitive race where I think fan girl is a very consistent horse who deserves to win and is quiet good value here.

The goldolphin horse Pericles seems to be in a very good position to take out this race but got competition from the kiwi horse sharp N smart

As promised, we'll be in Australia this week and next, for now, we'll be in Warwick Farm, Sydney, where Joao Moreria, alias the Magic Man, will be returning after 6 years.
Tomorrow's card appears to be decent, but we couldn't find any value in race 1 because there are too many unknowns about these horses, but we did find a very good bet at 6/1 in the second, Himalaism. This horse was unlucky not to win his previous race; he was denied a run for a long time in the straight, but when he did get into the clear, he absolutely smashed the line to finish second by a head.
The golden queen is the favorite of this race and needs to be respected but I think still she has to be more matured to win .

Longshot of the day is oceanic flash at 9/1 , he is such a consistent type of horse who always gives the best of himself and with the 2200m , should not be a problem .
In race 7, the Annabel-Neasham trained horse Secaution was beaten by a head last time but should be given another chance to win and at 6/1 it is a bit of a value here.
