We have received the great news that the Mauritius Wheelchair Tennis Open ITF Future series 2015 has won the third place in the 2015 Tournament Competition.

"Further to our announcement that the ITF would run a Tournament Competition, it gives me now great pleasure to let you know that the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Committee has selected your event amongst the winners of the 2015 competition.

The Mauritius Open has won the third place in the Futures division."

A big big thanks to all of you who have helped to make the tournament possible. It was our first international event for wheelchair tennis and it was a complete success thanks to you.

"Paralympic message for people who want Beach Tennis to the next Olympic Games"
After the first in the history of the Mauritius ITF Wheelchair Tennis Event, together with players, we went on the beach of Tamarin for demonstration of Sitting Beach Tennis. In this little tournament participated 8 doubles teams. Athletes from Mauritius, South Africa, France, Russia and Ireland were satisfied with this exciting game. Among the participants were Mariska Venter (RSA) 30th and Leon Els (RSA) 40th in ITF Wheelchair Tennis World Ranking, they are trying to qualify for the Paralympic Games 2016 in Rio.
Sitting Beach Tennis is based on the rules for Paralympic Sitting Beach Volley, but the score was counted under the rules of Beach Tennis:
