The Aquatic Sports Association Malta is pleased to announce the selection of the athletes who will represent Malta in the U18 and U20 Women’s National Water Polo Teams during the summer of 2026.

The U20 Women’s National Team will compete in the European Women’s Water Polo Championships, scheduled to take place in Lisbon, Portugal, between 31 July and 8 August 2026.

The U18 Women’s National Team has been selected to participate in the World Women’s Water Polo Championships, which will be held in Tenerife, Spain, between 16 and 23 August 2026.

A selection of 4 female and 4 male young swimmers left today for Novi Sad in Serbia to participate in the COMEN Mediterranean Cup 2026.

The squad led by Head Coach Gail Rizzo & assisted by Rossana Oddi and Andrew Pisani as Physio consists of Sebastian Abela, Alissa Camilleri, Michela Camilleri, Nick Camilleri, Josef Caruana, Naiyelli Clarke Spiteri, Martina Galea, Zak Pillow

The competition will be held between the 19th and 21st June 2026

A Historic Milestone for Maltese Artistic Swimming

Maltese Artistic Swimming has reached another important milestone, with the first-ever Maltese judge officiating at a European Aquatics event following an appointment to the European Aquatics Youth Championships.

This follows another historic achievement earlier this year, when Hayley Camilleri became Malta’s first World Aquatics Bronze Judge in Artistic Swimming.

These milestones reflect the continued growth of Artistic Swimming in Malta and the opportunities being created for officials to develop through the pathways established by the ASA, enabling Maltese representation at the highest levels of international competition.
