Wied il-Mielah in all her magnificent glory :-)
VisitGozo.com Visit Malta Lovin Malta
Last Saturday we left the Inland Sea or Dwerja, Gozo with a large group of adventurous kayakers.
We haven't been here with the group in a very long time and couldn't resist bringing the drone to capture these moments.
What you are seeing is an image composed of 15 images, merged into a squarish pano. I do not use pano functions on the drone, I make my own ;-)
This striking rock formation is called Wied il-Mielaħ, (Translates to Valley of Salt in English), also called the Ghasri Window.
It is not as well known as the Azure Window that fell in 2017, because of it's location and it's not too easy to get to, unless you have a kayak and a few hours to burn ;-)
Take a close look under the magnificent arch...what do you see?
That is a carpet of Fried Egg Jellyfish, harmless to humans.
Lots more drone shots and clips coming, some with attempts at group formations!
Let us know in the comments, if you have ever been here, or want to go!
Did you know our events are FREE for kayak, sup, canoe, and surfski owners?!?
Share this post to encourage others to join us. Kayaking in numbers is not only more fun, it's safer. We are fully certified and registered sea kayak guides and take safety on the sea very seriously. No one gets left behind on our tours. Paddle safely today, so you can kayak again tomorrow. ;-)
