Valletta FC Women are delighted to announce the appointment of Charlene Zammit as our Technical Coordinator.

She will help drive player development forward by working holistically alongside the team and specialists to support every aspect of player performance.
Charlene brings extensive experience on the field, having worked across multiple levels of the game. She has also represented Malta at National Team level on numerous occasions and holds a UEFA coaching licence, further strengthening the Club’s technical structure.

We look forward to working together as we prepare for the new journey ahead.

With extensive experience in senior men’s football up to Serie C level, and in women’s football with Sampdoria Women and Napoli Women, Mr. Mango brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and tactical understanding to the Club.

A coach known for his professionalism, intensity, and ability to build strong team environments, Mr. Mango believes that people make the difference. His philosophy focuses on creating a positive culture where players can grow, perform, and enjoy their football while striving for excellence every day.

We are excited to begin this new chapter together and look forward to seeing the team grow into a winning side under his leadership.

After more than two decades dedicated to the women’s game, Sarah Micallef has officially announced her retirement from football, bringing to an end a remarkable career spanning over 21 years 🙌

Throughout her journey, Sarah made an outstanding 290 appearances and scored 38 goals, leaving a lasting impact wherever she played 💪⚽

She began her football career with Pembroke Athleta, where she featured in 122 matches and scored 28 goals.

Over the years, Sarah also represented:
🔹 Raiders Luxol – 54 appearances
🔹 Raiders Għargħur – 24 appearances
🔹 Raiders Lija – 34 appearances
🔹 Lija Athletic – 40 appearances

Sarah concluded her playing career with Valletta FC, making 15 appearances for the club ❤️🤍

Her dedication, passion, commitment, and contribution to women’s football throughout the years deserve great recognition 👏✨

Wishing Sarah all the very best in this new chapter of her journey. Thank you for your contribution to the game and for the memories you created along the way ❤️🙌⚽
