ISKAREEN – Team Profile:
After their debut in 2011, the German ISKAREEN- Team just launched
their return to the French M34 Circuit to compete in the 2012 edition
of the annual „Tour de France à la Voile“. Based in Hamburg, Germany,
the core of the ISKAREEN- Team has been racing in various big boat and
offshore classes over the past 15 years. Albeit being strictly
amateur, the ISKAREEN- Team appro
aches racing in the M34- Class with
professional ambitions, gathering 20 very good sailors that are keen
to compete against the best. Having
raced both the Swan 45 as also the International Dragon, Bruhns knows
steering in high profile one design classes very well, whereas his
significant other Christiane Dittmers is pulling the strings both on-
and offshore. Deriving from over 10 years of offshore racing, Dittmers
is not only in charge of crew- and project management, but also
provides clean manoeuvring and good communication between bow and
stern of the boat while handling the pit of the M34. The crew onboard ISKAREEN is composed of various sailors, guaranteeing
a comprehensive approach towards the challenging level of the M34-
Class: Gathering both dinghy- and offshore sailors while adding
elements of match racing know- how, the crew of ISKAREEN brings up a
vast variety of experience from almost every aspect of the sport of
sailboat racing, building a keen team that is determined to push both
the boat and the crew to the limit. The ISKAREEN- Team is united in the common and unique approach towards
the sport of sailing: For each and every crewmember onboard the M34
ISKAREEN, racing sailboats means much more than just a regular hobby
or even a nine- to- five day job. For its crew, racing onboard
