What a season it has been! We’re incredibly proud to have welcomed and introduced over 60 new young sailors to the joy, challenge and adventure of sailing this summer. ⛵️💙

A huge thank you to our amazing coaches for their dedication, patience and hard work throughout the programme. Your enthusiasm and commitment have made such a difference to every one of our new sailors. 👏

And a very special thank you to the Malta National Aquarium for supporting our programme with new eyecatching sails.

📣 Call for ILCA/Optimist Coach ⛵

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Optimist / ILCA Performance Coach to join our sailing program and help develop the next generation of competitive sailors.

Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Plan and deliver high-performance coaching sessions for Optimist and ILCA sailors
🔹 Support athletes at local and international regattas
🔹 Develop training programs focused on technical, tactical, physical, and mental performance
🔹 Work closely with sailors, parents, and club officials to achieve performance goals
🔹 Foster a positive, professional, and athlete-centered environment

Requirements:
✅ Proven coaching experience in ILCA/Optimist classes
✅ Strong knowledge of racing techniques and athlete development pathways
✅ Ability to travel for competitions and training camps
✅ Excellent communication and organizational skills
✅ Relevant coaching qualifications and certifications

Managerial and administrative skills are considered an asset.

We are incredibly proud of Ian Wang and his participation in the ILCA 4 Youth Worlds in Aarhus, Denmark! 🇩🇰⛵️

Relatively new to sailing, Ian has shown great determination, commitment and a fantastic attitude throughout this challenging event. Competing at this level is no small achievement, and he has managed to sail remarkably well while gaining valuable experience and learning from every race.

Well done, Ian! We are very proud of you and look forward to seeing where your sailing journey takes you next. 👏⛵️

Matt Sillato, Mia Agius, Zara Barbaro Sant and Luke Fenech are on their way to Lake Garda, Italy, where they will join Coach Simone Ricci and take part in two consecutive events — Ora Cup Ora and the Gold Cup! 🏆
