We are delighted to present the agenda for the upcoming Orthopaedic Lower Limb Surgery Symposium on Saturday 5th October at Mater Dei South Auditorium!

The Department of Orthopaedics, Trauma and Sports & Exercise Medicine, together with the Association of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeons of Malta would like to announce that an Orthopaedic Lower Limb Surgery Symposium will be held in the Mater Dei Hospital South Auditorium on Saturday 05/10/2024 between 08:30 and 15:00.

Guest speakers from the UK will undertake both lectures and small group discussions covering topics including primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, unicompartmental knee replacement surgery, robotic lower limb arthroplasty surgery and hip arthroscopy.


The event is free and open to doctors of all grades but attendance is strictly by prior registration. Interested parties should email [email protected] by 21/09/2024 with details including name, grade and current department, to register.

Yesterday, we successfully held our 9th annual scientific meeting at Mater Dei Hospital. This was our first hybrid meeting whereby members and invitees were able to participate over Microsoft Teams. Well-done to all the participants for the high level of presentations and posters.
Congratulations goes to Mark Bugeja for winning best presentation with his very interesting work on the local management of open tibial fractures.
