☀️🏊♀️ Why Should You Continue Aquababies Malta Swimming Lessons During Summer? 🏊♂️☀️
Summer is one of the most important times to keep your child’s swimming journey going!
🌊 The sea is not the same as the pool
Swimming in the sea is fun, but it cannot replace structured swimming lessons. Salt water helps the body float more easily, making some skills seem easier than they really are. Children who swim comfortably in the sea may still struggle with the same skills in a pool. No submersions can be done for babies, in salt water and should be limited for toddlers due to the salt content.
💙 Keep the progress going
By continuing lessons throughout summer, your child returns in autumn stronger, more confident, and ready to reach the next level instead of spending weeks regaining lost skills.
🏊 Skills need regular practice
Swimming skills improve with consistent practice. A long summer break can lead to loss of confidence, technique, and progress that has taken months to build.
⭐ Lessons focus on much more than swimming
During lessons, children learn:
✔️ Water safety skills
✔️ Breath control
✔️ Jumping and diving underwater
✔️ Floating and body position
✔️ Stroke development
✔️ Confidence and independence in the water
✔️ Safe entries, exits, and recovery skills
Many of these skills cannot be practised properly during a family day at the beach.
🌞 Summer is the season when children spend the most time in the water
This makes it the perfect time to strengthen their swimming and safety skills. The more confident and capable they are, the safer and more enjoyable every beach trip becomes.
The beach is for fun. Swimming lessons are for learning. Together, they make the perfect combination for a safe and enjoyable summer! 🌊☀️
