JAMES GALEA WINS THE MSSF 7th TRAP SELECTION

Sunday September 13, 2026

James Galea Jr won the the 7th Trap Selection Shoot which was the last of the season.
Joining Galea on the podium were Nico Sciberras and Ryan Bugeja who placed in second and in the third place respectively.
This Competition was held at the Malta National Shooting Ranges and the participants shot at 125 targets over the period of 2 days.
The eight Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were: CHETCUTI Gianluca qualified with the score of 117/125, GRECH Shazen hit 116/125, BUĠEJA Ryan 115/125, BUĠEJA EMMANUEL 113/125+ 1 shoot-off, CHETCUTI William 113/125 +0 shoot-off, GALEA James Jr 112/125, SCIBERRAS Nico 111/125 +1 shoot-off and GALEA Brian hit 111/125 +0 shoot-off.

The overall result after the final stages was:

We’re under way at the Malta National Shooting Ranges for the final two rounds of today’s 7th and last Selection Shoot.

The last 50 targets will bring this year’s Trap Selection series to a close.

NICHOLAS CARABOTT WINS THE QORMI CLAY SHOOTING CLUB TRAP COMPETITION (2)

Nicholas Carabott won the Trap Competition 50+Final which was held at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club.

Ryan Bugeja finished in second place, while Emmanuel Bugeja had to settle for third place overall.

The participants in this Trap Competition shot at 50 qualifying targets plus a final round of 25 targets from a single shot.

The eight finalists were: BUGEJA Emmanuel who hit two perfect straights scoring 50/50, BUGEJA Ryan 47/50, GALEA Brian with the score of 46/50, CAMILLERI Philip hit 44/50, CARABOTT Nicholas 44/50, CASSAR Abiel 43/50 while CINI Ryan and DEGUARA Rennie qualified with the score of 40/50.

ANDRE CASSAR WINS THE MSSF S***T COMPETITION 50+50+25 (T4)

With the score of 117/125, Andre Cassar was the overall winner of the fourth edition of the MSSF S***t Competition 50+50+25.

Liam Sciberras finished this competition in second place with the score of 115/125, while Joseph Muscat finished in third with the score of 97/125.

This event was held at the Malta National Shooting Ranges in Siggiewi where the top 3 athletes of this competition shot at a total of 125 targets.

At the start of the competition, all participants shot at 50 targets and the 4 athletes with the best scores advanced and competed on another 50 targets. The rest of the shooters were eliminated.
After 100 targets the athlete with the lowest score got eliminated and the top 3 shooters shot at another 25 targets.

The result after 100 targets was:

2 CASSAR Andre 92/100
3 MUSCAT Joseph 81/100 +3 shoot-off
4 GALEA Mikaela 81/100 +1 shoot-off

Class A score after 50 targets was:

Class B score after 50 targets was:

The next competition is the 7th S***t Selection Shoot 2026 which will be held on the 19 and 20 September at the Malta National Shooting Ranges.
