🏆 TEAM NOSKOVA ARE THE RTC SUMMER TEAM TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

It was the final night of the RTC Summer Team Tournament, and on her debut as captain, Maria Angela Gambin ultimately led Team Noskova to first place! 🏆🎾

Team Noskova started the final encounter strongly, with David Marks and Owen Bugeja securing a convincing victory in the Bs Doubles. In the other match of the encounter, Kurt Portelli claimed 2 points for Team Dimitrov with a victory in the Bs Singles.

However, this win wasn't enough for Team Dimitrov to take second place. Cory Greenland's Team Dabrowski won both of their matches on Tuesday, which ultimately secured them the runner-up spot. 🥈

The first match saw Sabrina Xuereb and Mark Pace fight back to take the Cs Doubles, while Emman Xuereb and Andrea Sciriha had the edge in a very close As Doubles encounter against Team Osaka.

So, congratulations once again to Team Noskova, our Summer Team Tournament champions!👏

A big thank you goes to all the participants who took part throughout the tournament. We hope everyone had a wonderful playing experience! 🎾

It was Team Noskova and Team Dabrowski's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Monday evening with both teams now firmly in contention for the top two places along with Team Dimitrov.
Starting two points behind the leaders, Team Noskova needed a perfect night to climb on top of the overall classification. Stephen Lughermo & Kevin Paris provided the perfect start with a disciplined and convincing win in the As doubles. Then it was up to Owen Bugeja and Rosa Taborda to clinch a further two points in the Cs doubles with a cool and consistent display.
In the other encounter, Team Dabrowski added a crucial 4 points to their tally without a sweat. Captain Cory Greenland won the Bs singles as his opponent had to retire during the warm-up. Then it was up to Benjamin Valenzia and Ann Caffari to benefit from a walk-over in the Bs doubles to put their team to within one-point of 2nd place.
So with only tomorrow's matches to be played, it's Team Noskova with a two point lead over Team Dimitrov, with Team Dabrowski a further point away. It's all to play for in the final day! See you tomorrow!! 🎾

It was Team Dabrowski's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Tuesday evening with Cory Greenland's team back in contention for the top 2 place.
Emman Xuereb & Andrea Sciriha produced the shock of the day with a calm and effective win in the As doubles to grab the first points of the day. Then it was up to captain Cory Greenland & Sabrina Xuereb to clinch a further point in a highly balanced Bs doubles against Team Noskova's Maria Angela Gambin & David Marks.
In the other encounter it was once again all square between leaders Team Dimitrov and Team Osaka. The latter started the better with Adrian Sciberras & Isaac Baldacchino edging a high-tempered Bs doubles to grab the points for Dione Gravino's team. However, Team Dimitrov kept their position at the top of the standings thanks to Josef Cristiano's determined and no-nonsense win in the As singles.
So with the final week coming up, it's Team Dimitrov with a couple of points ahead of Team Noskova with both teams going head-to-head in the final week. Team Dabrowski could still come from behind and try to confirm the Italian saying "Fra i due litiganti, il terzo gode." See you next week! 🎾

It was Team Noskova's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Monday evening with Maria's team edging closer to the top of the classification courtesy of a win and a draw.
Mark Muscat & Akshay Bose got their team to a flying start with a quite comfortable victory in the Cs doubles to grab the first 2 points. Then it was up to Christian Serpina to provide the performance of the night and clinch a crucial point in a 7-7 draw in the As singles against Team Dabrowski's Emman Xuereb.
In the other encounter it was all square between Team Dimitrov and Team Osaka. The current leaders started the better with Laura Johnson & Paula Gambin storming into their Cs doubles with an emphatic victory. However Team Osaka replied immediately with Nikolai Micallef & Andrew Stafrace keeping their cool to grab the 2 points in the As doubles.
So midway through Week 5 it's Team Dimitrov still on top but with just one point ahead of Team Noskova. See you tomorrow! 🎾

It was Team Noskova's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Tuesday evening with Maria Angela Gambin's team climbing into second place behind Team Dimitrov.
Akshay Bose & Rosa Taborda got off to a flying start for Team Noskova with a steady win in the Cs doubles. Then it was up to David Marks to complete the perfect day with a comfortable win in the Bs singles to put his team 2 points behind the overall leaders.
Team Dimitrov kept their top position with another fine performance on the day. Paula Gambin & Victor Attard fought hard to come back and clinch a crucial draw in the Cs' doubles against Team Dabrowski's Alida Borg & Sabrina Xuereb. Then it was Kurt Portelli who grabbed a further 2 points in a tough battle in the Bs singles to keep his team on top.
So with two-thirds of the tournament gone, it's Team Dimitrov with a 2 point lead ahead of Team Noskova. Still a long way to go though! See you next week! 🎾

It was Team Dimitrov's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Monday evening with Christian Xuereb's team climbing at the top of the overall classification with a crucial double win.
The captain himself started the show alongside Josef Cristiano thanks to a determined and steady win in the As doubles. Then it was up to Kurt Portelli & Veljko Tasic to grab a further 2 points in a hard fought Bs doubles against Team Dabrowski.
In the other encounter, it was all square between Team Osaka and Team Noskova. The former took the early lead courtesy of Nikolai Micallef & Jean Paul Azzopardi Holland's comfortable win in the As doubles. However, Team Noskova equalised the tie thanks to captain Maria Angela Gambin & Owen Bugeja's cool and controlled victory in the Bs doubles.
So midway through Week 4 it's Team Dimitrov with a healthy lead ahead of Team Dabrowski and Team Noskova. See you tomorrow!🎾

It was Team Dabrowski’s night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Tuesday evening with Cory Greenland’s team coming back with a bang following a dreadful Monday session.
The captain, alongside Benjamin Valenzia, set the tone with a determined showing in the Bs doubles to grab the first points of the night. Then it was up to Peter Khiev & Emman Xuereb to put their team back on top of the overall classification with a convincing win in the As doubles following a slow start.
In the other encounter, Team Noskova had the better of Team Dimitrov on the night. Captain Maria Angela Gambin & Owen Bugeja had a wonderful start to the match but were pegged back to a 7-7 draw by Team Dimitrov’s Kurt Portelli & Laura Johnson. Then it was up to Mark Muscat & Akshay Bose to bag a crucial 2 points in the Cs doubles and keep Maria’s team within touching distance of the leaders.
So halfway through the tournament, it’s Dabrowski with a slender lead ahead of Team Dimitrov but all four teams are well in contention. See you next week for the start of the second round! 🎾

It was Team Osaka's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Monday evening with Dione Gravino's team getting back in contention after a slow start in the first two weeks.
Isaac Baldacchino & Jennifer Pace started the day on a perfect note with a hard fought but convincing win in the Cs doubles. Then it was up to Jean Paul Azzopardi Holland to produce the performance of the night with a stunning victory in the As singles.
In the other encounter, Team Dimitrov climbed to the top of the overall classification courtesy of a win and a draw in the As encounters. Captain Christian Xuereb along with Josef Cristiano produced a steady performance to grab a crucial 2 points in the doubles. Then it was up to Kurt Portelli's fighting spirit to clinch a further point in a balanced and tough match against Team Noskova's Christian Serpina.
So midway through Week 3 it's Team Dimitrov with a slender lead and the rest of the pack following close by. See you tomorrow! 🎾

It was a balanced evening at the RTC Summer Team Tournament with all teams grabbing another 2 points to their tally.

In the first encounter between Team Dabrowski and Team Noskova, the B doubles match saw David Marks and Owen Bugeja winning for the second time together in the tournament for Marija's team. Then it was up to the Dabrowki's captain, Cory Greenland to sn**ch the win in a stamina-test B's singles match.

In the other encounter, Team Osaka won the Cs doubles courtesy of Keane Schembri and Jake Micallef's steady performance. The Dimitrovs then rebounded with their win in the Bs doubles thanks to Velkjo Tasic and Paula Gambin.

At the end of matchweek two, Team Dabrowski holds a narrow lead at the top. With the standings so tightly packed, the leaderboard could completely shake up when action resumes in two weeks, following next week's Santa Marija break. See you then!

It was Team Dabrowski's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament, having won both of their fixtures to secure two wins over Team Noskova.

Andrea Sciriha and Emman Xuereb kicked off the evening with a victory in the A doubles, followed by a second win from Sabrina Xuereb and Mark Pace in a contest that remained even until mid-match before they pulled away to gain the upper hand.

Elsewhere on Monday, Team Dimitrov got the edge over Team Osaka. The encounter started with evenly matched and hard-fought A doubles contest that ultimately finished deadlocked at 7-7. Team Dimitrov then found success in the B singles, where Kurt Portelli secured a comfortable win in Bs singles.
