Flow Yoga Malta

Flow Yoga Malta I create slow, grounding movement spaces. For those who want to slow down, release tension, and reconnect with their body. Host of Slow Garden Flow

The intention behind my classes is to heartfully guide you towards physical and mental wellbeing. I use natural medicine of yoga, creative movement, meditation, sound healing and relaxation. My approach derives from my experience as a midwife, yoga teacher, birth worker, and sound therapist. Whether you are seeking ways to aid an aching/tired body, calm hectic overflowing thoughts or deepen your self-exploration, this space is open for you. If you are an artist or mind/bodyworker wishing to co-create with me please do not hesitate, just write or call. There is incredible, beautiful power in heart-led creative cooperation! This space is open to all including members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Although I sometimes emphasize the powerful side of our sacred femininity it is not related to gender. This feminine energy is a universal source of creation. It awakens intuition, gratitude, compassion, and kindness for ourselves and others. It represents our love-saturated consciousness, and if this resonates with you, you are most welcome here.

Thank you to the women who came to sit with us by the sea on Friday.

Few main themes emerged:
- Some of us are in a season of ending, sensing something has to close so something else can begin.
- Some of us are tired from gripping tightly to things we wish we could just trust and let unfold.
- A few named how loud anxiety has been lately, and we sat with that together, not to fix it, just to notice it, and practice meeting it with a little more gentleness.

By the end, something in the group softened.
We dropped into stillness so easily.
We were grateful for the sound of the waves, the warmth of the earth beneath us, and each other's company.

Full Moon gathering is on September 26th, if you'd like to join us for the second half of this arc 🌸

Two days until the New Moon gathering, and I've been thinking about why I'm still so tired.

I've been tired since I gave birth, almost eight years ago. For a long time I thought it was just work, family tasks, getting older. Only now am I realising it's not just that.

It's also, amongst other things a cumulative, decade long list of fears, worries and grief. Grief for the help I didn't even know I needed. A village. Something to make me realise I'm not alone. Someone to notice when I'm exhausted, to witness that I have the right to feel anger, frustration, sadness. To tell me and show me it's okay, because we all go through similar things in different ways.

I've been working with various layers of my body and mind nearly 2 decades now. I'm not mad or disappointed. Slowly, now I am realising I've been holding that grief unresolved, because the relief and support was never in my cultural background, never even recognised as missing.

Now I'm learning, through my body, to rest, move with it and be seen. To let another see me. It's not a scream or a big banner. It's a slow, quiet invitation from within I keep offering myself, to try and try again.

That's part of why our gatherings exist. Friday, if you want a small circle of women will be trying this alongside you. We'd love to have you there.

Stillness - a calming, grounding and caring component of our every event. This is what happens after the sun goes down and the sound bowls come out. And for me it is a creative, personal and in a sense romantic experience, because I get to pour my heart and soul into it.

What YOU love about it:
- Less thinking.
- Deep rest.
- Bathing in calmness.

Soft light, vibration, and permission to lie down and let go.

This is a small part of what New Moon Flow by the Sea holds space for - September 11, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq. Max 12 women, suggested donation €15-30.

If this feels like something you need right now, send me a message or grab your spot through the link in bio.

Something I keep re-learning in circle - being understood isn't the same as being heard, or fixed, or advised.
I used to think what I carried made me different from other women. Isolated, even. Turns out, most of us are carrying some version of the same thing -we just rarely say it out loud.
That's most of what happens when we gather. Less talking than you'd expect. More just... being let in.

It's instinct. We know how to move - we just sometimes forget, until someone reminds us there's no wrong way to do it.

Too often I heard I was too much:
felt too deeply, expressed too boldly, engaged too intensely.

But I don't buy that anymore.

Wise, loving women in my life keep showing me that shrinking myself is really just people-pleasing, or fear of being excluded. And I don't want to be included if it means keeping up a smaller, lighter, easier version of myself in constant contorsion. I don't want to step on eggshells and rehearse every sentence. Enough.

It's a privilege and hard work to be authentic - but it brings me back aligned relationships, aligned people and beauty. I experiment with taking space more often: I show myself, I speak, I move differently. I face discomfort of being seen, heard, and rejected.
It's scary, it's messy and sometimes it hurts.
And it's worth it.

I have support in that, because I know many women who go through a similar process.
I want to support you in that exploration too.
I invite you in our spaces with that intention.
Show up.Full self. Full you. Mess included.
Come as you are on the 11th — there's room for all of it 🤍

Legs dancing, upside down, on my terrace where anyone could look overand see...
That's not nothing - I noticed it.

Movement like this isn't performance. It's the part of me that's primal, unfiltered, usually pushed aside because there's no time for it. When I move freely, unplanned, I'm listening - giving privilege to what's underneath, not choreographing what's on top.

Sometimes it does become performance - for myself, for the women I guide, even for a neighbour watching. When that happens, I want it to be a choice, not a reflex. So I ask: what tensed when I noticed being seen? What opened once I stopped caring?

I'm staying vigilant for the truth in my body - not painting over what I sense, not skipping the parts that are inconvenient or unfinished. Making space for curiosity, for care, for believing myself without needing someone else's read on it first.

I'm learning this. Not mastering it.

Very often after class or a workshop, women share how wonderful it was to let their bodies move freely without performing - the expectations about how they're supposed to move, taken away. We move towards that slowly. And then they notice the freedom and softness that opens up.

We can work towards that together.

5 ideas I've re-discovered through female connection 🤍 Swipe through.

None of it is new information, it's just easy to forget when we're going through life alone. Witnessing instead of fixing. Taking up space instead of shrinking. Recognising myself in you instead of comparing. This is what keeps happening, every single time women gather with intention.

I'll be unpacking each one more over the next few weeks - but here's the short version, and here's why I love creating these spaces.

New Moon gathering - 11 September, by the sea. Small, unhurried, all welcome. Details in bio 🤍
