Gharghur FC new committee for season 2026/2027

After the Annual General Meeting 2026 & moreover the first new committee meeting; the roles of the new committee will be as follows:

President: Mark Pullicino
Secretary: Christopher Saliba
Treasurer: Rudolphe Gaerty
Vice President: Daniel Zammit

Each committee member will have a role
Integrity officer: Jeanpierre Debono
Safeguarding officer: Paul Scerri
Senior squad: Jesmond Camilleri
U19s: Daniel Zammit
U17s: Kieli Bugeja
U15s: Mark Pullicino
U12/13s: Rudolphe Gaerty
U8/10s: Nigel Schembri
U6s: Jake Micallef
Other member: Sandro Sammut

The club would like to thank Bernard Grixti for his service and welcome 2 new members Nigel & Jake.

Moreover, during the AGM it was confirmed that the club had finally registered with AIMS - Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport, OCVO (as a voluntary organisation) & MBR Malta Business Registry.

The committee also confirmed Senior coach & Nursery Headcoach Alan Friggieri for next season.

The committee would like to congratulate both Gharghur candidates Ms. Mariah Meli & Ms. Marilena Gauci that were elected in the last Malta General Election 2026.

It is a pleasure that finally the village has its own persons representing the village & Malta in the Maltese Parliament.

Congratulations to all the other candidates that were elected on the 9th District. It is of utmost importance to unite and work together for the benefit of Gharghur and Malta away from colours and disparity.

Post AGM 2026

During the Annual General Meeting 2026, held last Thursday 4th June 2026 a new committee was elected for next season 2026/2027.

The club would like to welcome Nigel Schembri & Jake Micallef as new commitee members and thank Bernard Grixti for his service in the last year.

Roles in the commitee will be assigned in next Tuesday 16th June meeting.

During the AGM it was decided that the committee will be continuing the works, plastering of walls & dressing rooms, cleaning of pitch and surroundings and fencing immediately; before the players will be back to training at the end of July 2026. All workss to be done under the supervision of the club assigned architect/s further to instructions/recommendation given the health & safety officer risk assessment that was performed last January 2026.
