Champions at Ta’ Xama!

Over the weekend, our SW Elite children competed in the final event of the Pembroke Aquatics Open Water 1km Race Series at Ta’ Xama Bay, St Paul’s Bay.

Organised by Pembroke Athleta Athletics & Triathlon Club in collaboration with Aquatic Sports Association of Malta , it was another fantastic day in the open sea.

Our young athletes dominated the 1 km race, taking the top places. We are incredibly proud of every single one of them for finishing the series so strongly and collecting medals and trophies!

On Saturday 1st August our SW Elite children once again took part in the Pembroke Aquatics Open Water Race Series l, this time for the second event, held in Marsascala.

It was such a special day swimming in the open sea as part of this fantastic event organised by Pembroke in collaboration with Aquatic Sports Association of Malta .

Our young athletes gave it their all and successfully completed the 1 km distance.

Today our SW Elite children took part in the Pembroke Aquatics Open Water Race Series at Fra Ben, Qawra! 🏆

It was such a special day swimming in the open sea as part of this fantastic event organised by Pembroke Athleta Athletics & Triathlon Club in collaboration with ASA Malta.

They gave it their all participated in the 1km distance

**Latest FISEC-FICEP Games 2026 Swimming Results (as of 17 July 2026)**

The 76th FISEC-FICEP Games in Budapest are still underway (13–19 July), and Julia has been one of Malta’s standout performers so far.

- 🥇 Gold – 200m Butterfly
- 🥈 Silver – 100m Butterfly

Julia has shown fantastic versatility and strength across both the sprint and middle-distance butterfly, putting in two outstanding performances on the international stage. These results make her one of the most successful Maltese swimmers at the Games, credit to the entire Team Malta squad as well.

We’re incredibly proud of everything she’s achieved in Budapest so far, a gold and a silver is an amazing return!

Julia Mizzi Shines at the 76th FISEC-FICEP Games in Budapest

Julia Mizzi, our talented young swimmer from Malta’s ASA Malta squad, delivered a strong performance at the 76th FISEC-FICEP Games held in Budapest, Hungary (July 13–19, 2026). Representing Team Malta and SW Elite in the girls’ swimming events alongside teammates such as Beatrice Busuttil, Alisa Camilleri, and others, stood out by winning a silver medal in the 100m Butterfly and setting a personal best time of 1.08.1

This achievement highlights Julia’s technical prowess and competitive spirit in one of the more demanding sprint events. Her podium finish contributed to Malta’s solid showing in the swimming program, which featured intense competition from nations across Europe and beyond.

The FISEC-FICEP Games bring together young athletes (born 2009–2011) in a multi-sport youth festival emphasising fair play, cultural exchange, and high-level competition. Julia’s silver adds to Malta’s swimming medal tally and underscores the depth of talent being developed through our local clubs.

Congratulations to Julia and the entire Team Malta swimming contingent on their impressive results and for proudly representing the island on the international stage! Keep an eye on this rising star in future competitions. 🏊‍♀️🇲🇹

**SW Elite** What an incredible weekend at the 2026 National Long Course Championships! 🏊‍♂️🏆🇲🇹

Our swimmers represented SW Elite with pride, determination, and fantastic team spirit at this year’s COOP Services National Long Course Championships.

We had a strong squad of 35 swimmers who competed across multiple age groups and events, achieving personal bests, strong finals, several podium finishes, and medals.
