U13 Development Group Coaches Confirmed

We are pleased to confirm Coach Jeremy Agius Betts and Coach Yamin Pace as the coaching team for our U13 Development Group for the upcoming season.

The U13 Development Group will consist of players born in 2014 and 2015, with the aim of providing the right challenge, the right environment and the right approach to help each player continue progressing on their football journey. This group will play an important role in ensuring that every player receives the support and opportunities needed to maximise their development.

Jeremy enters his third season with our Academy, having consistently demonstrated incredible dedication and commitment to his players. Always willing to go the extra mile, he has built excellent relationships with his teams through his care, professionalism and attention to detail. Combined with his strong understanding of player development, these qualities make him the ideal person to lead this group.

Joining him is Coach Yamin Pace, a former Academy player who enjoyed a successful journey through our youth system, including being part of a U17 Section A-winning team. Yamin's passion for the game and connection to the club make him a valuable addition to our coaching staff. His involvement with the Academy will extend beyond this role, as he will also be working with one of our younger age groups—a role that will be announced in the coming weeks.

We wish Jeremy and Yamin every success as they lead our U13 Development Group throughout the season ahead.

It is with great shock and sadness that we learned of the passing of Academy pioneer Charles Sciberras, affectionately known as “il-Fly”.

Charles played a fundamental role in the development of our Academy, dedicating countless hours, energy, and passion to help shape generations of young players. His contribution and commitment laid foundations that continue to benefit our Academy to this day.

We are forever indebted to Charles for his work, dedication, and unwavering support. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the values he helped instill within our football community.

On behalf of everyone at Birkirkara FC Youth Academy, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Charles “il-Fly” Sciberras will forever be remembered as part of our Academy family. May he rest in peace.

As we bring another memorable season to a close, we would like to thank everyone who contributed to making our End of Season Event such a special occasion.

Tonight, we come together to celebrate the achievements of our young players and another successful season for the Birkirkara FC Youth Academy.

We are honoured to welcome Birkirkara Mayor Desirei Grech and Birkirkara FC President Dr. Chris Cardona, who will be joining us during the evening and presenting awards to our players.
