The NMA Open Track & Field Meet 2026 delivered an exciting weekend of competition, with a strong turnout of athletes across all age groups and events. It was especially encouraging to see many of our upcoming Under-18 athletes stepping up to compete in their first Open Meet, gaining valuable experience alongside some of the islands' top athletes.
The meet showcased outstanding performances in the sprints, middle-distance races, jumps, and throws, highlighting the bright future of athletics in the Northern Mariana Islands.
It was also fantastic to see our Masters athletes rise to the challenge, proving that athletics is truly a sport for life. Their enthusiasm, determination, and competitive spirit were an inspiration to our younger competitors.
A special thank you to all our volunteers, officials, coaches, event partners, and supporters whose hard work made this event possible. We also extend our appreciation to our local media partners for helping share and promote athletics throughout our community.
Congratulations to all athletes who participated, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the track and field at our next competition.
