Welcome to Round Square Adventures! Ride a fatbike for 10 days through Tavan Bogd National Park.

Mountains, glaciers, open steppe, river crossings, glacial lakes, forests, no tarmac roads. Fatbikes will take you safely and comfortably through mud, across rivers, up and down mountains and across the steppes on this van-supported adventure through wild and untrodden countryside. Camp in the wild next to glacial lakes under vast Mongolian skies, interact with nomads, fish in the lakes and end the adventure staying for 2 days in gers next to an eagle hunter competing at the Golden Eagle Festival.

Balancing on wobbly planks, weaving between curious cows, and trusting our fatbikes to carry us across — just another day on a Round Square Adventure Mongolia trip. 🚵‍♀️🇲🇳 This bridge might sway, creak, and groan under us, but it’s all part of the magic: raw challenge, wild landscapes, and a culture that still moves at the pace of 🐄✨ Out here, every crossing is an adventure, and every bump tells a story.

Thinking of my brother David as we finish up a Mongolia fatbike trip. This time 6 years ago he was knocked off his bike by a reckless van driver and suffered devastating head injuries which finally resulted in his death. I miss you every day David.

🚴‍♀️🏕 Just wrapped up an unforgettable Mongolian bike tour with an absolutely incredible group of women.

This trip pushed limits and filled souls. We rode through vast valleys and alpine passes, battled wind, rain, and blazing sun. We hiked. We biked. We celebrated at a local wedding. We howled at a full moon and flew down dirt roads, held a golden eagle and shared tea in yurts and stories with nomad families.

It was hard. It was beautiful. It was everything.

Thanks to everyone who showed up fully — with grit, humor, and open hearts. What a ride. 💪🇲🇳✨

This is what we mean by rugged luxury. Our guest is wrapped in a real sheepskin—a staple on our biking expeditions. Not just for show—these thick, warm hides are perfect for cold nights under canvas, when the wind rolls off the mountains and the stars come out hard and bright.

Locally sourced, these sheepskins are the same ones Mongolian nomads use to make leggings for winter hunting with their eagles. They’re warm, durable, and part of a centuries-old way of life.

🌊🚴‍♂️ Riding through rivers, leveling up confidence!

What starts out as a challenge quickly becomes one of the highlights of the trip — river crossings! 🌄💪 Clients often arrive unsure about biking through water, but by the end, they’re crushing it like pros. Each crossing is different — we never know exactly how much snowmelt is coming down from the mountains 🌨️➡️💧— but that unpredictability adds to the adventure.

This is where skills meet spontaneity. And honestly? It’s a lot of fun. 😎

🚵‍♂️ Fatbike Expedition – Western Mongolia 🇲🇳❄️
Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime ride through one of the most remote and breathtaking regions on Earth.

Our journey begins in the high-altitude valleys of Bayan-Ölgii Province, home to snow-capped peaks, Kazakh nomads, and endless alpine terrain. From there, we bike deep into the Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, following ancient tracks and glacial rivers.

🗻 Highlight: Reaching the Potanin Glacier, Mongolia’s largest, by a combo of pedal power and traditional camel support. When the trail becomes too steep and rugged to ride, we load our fatbikes onto camels and hike alongside them to the glacier.

🌊 Descent: From the glacier, we ride down the dramatic White River valley, a thrilling descent past roaring glacial rapids, sharp ridgelines, and sweeping tundra.
