What an achievement by this youngster. Alireza Firouzja is just 18 years and 144 days old and has already broken into 2800+ club and become world no.2.

He becomes the youngest player ever to cross 2800 Elo breaking Magnus Carlsen's record of 18 years and 336 days. Alireza achieved this feat by beating Mamedyarov and scored 8.0/9 at the European Team Championships 2021 for France.

He has already qualified to the Candidates and will surely be fighting for the highest title very soon. A big congratulations to Alireza and his entire team.
