🌱 MEET RABENOELY Olynca — A Young Entrepreneur Turning Waste into a Sustainable Opportunity 🌿🔥

From Andapa, Madagascar, RABENOELY Olynca is a young entrepreneur with a vision: to promote ecological charcoal as a more sustainable alternative to traditional charcoal.

Through the Bridging Gaps Microloan, Olynca received $100 to help develop and promote her ecological charcoal initiative.

🔥 Traditional charcoal production contributes to deforestation and environmental degradation. It takes approximately 10 kg of wood to produce just 1 kg of charcoal, putting increasing pressure on our forests and contributing to environmental challenges.

🌿 Olynca is choosing a different path.

Her initiative aims to transform available resources into ecological charcoal, while creating an opportunity to generate income and strengthen her economic independence.

💚 Her story is more than a business story. It is a story of courage, innovation, and environmental responsibility.

The Bridging Gaps Microloan is not just about providing financial support. It is about believing in entrepreneurs, investing in their ideas, empowering women, creating livelihoods, and supporting local solutions to global challenges.

Bridging Gaps Project: Microloan Disbursement in Madagascar 🇲🇬

We are proud to announce that the long-awaited Bridging Gaps Project Microloan has officially arrived in Madagascar! 🎉

On 6 August 2026, the official loan disbursement was successfully conducted at LENS Center, in the presence of Vice Mayor RAKOTONIRINA Evariste and local journalist MAHITSISON Eddie.

🌱 LENS: Turning Potential into Opportunity

At LENS Center, our mission goes beyond Language, Employability, Networking & Skills. We are committed to addressing real challenges faced by young people and women in the Andapa District, particularly access to opportunities, entrepreneurship, and employment.

Through this €1,000 microloan, we are helping unlock the potential of 10 beneficiaries, including farmers, entrepreneurs, and members of the LENS English Club.

This initiative is more than financial support—it is an investment in people, ideas, livelihoods, and the future of our community. 💪🏽

Inspiring Session with Lundie Marielas 🌱🎓

We recently had an inspiring and informative session with Lundie Marielas, a scholarship recipient now in her second year at a university in the United States, studying Environmental Science.

Her journey reminded us that opportunities are possible when we combine effort, experience, and determination. From joining English clubs and youth organizations to volunteering with YMCA, LIME, American Corner, LENS, and others, every experience helped shape her path toward a fully funded scholarship.

🎉 REFLECTING ON LENS TRAINING SEMINAR – 15 August 2025 🎉

“Situational Leadership: Applied Leadership Skills for Business Management”

Last year, LENS, in partnership with Global Polyglots Network (GPN), successfully conducted a leadership training seminar that empowered 19 youths who were facing educational challenges.

Despite their difficulties, these young people showed strong commitment and motivation to grow. Through this training, they were able to strengthen their leadership and personal development skills.

✔ Built trust and teamwork skills
✔ Provided practical leadership tools
✔ Supported youths facing educational barriers
