Day 4
We kicked off the day bright and early at 7 AM with a breakfast that was not only nutritious but seriously deliciousβ€”exactly the fuel we needed for the day ahead! πŸ³πŸ‰
Our morning reflection was a chilled moment to connect as a team, share how we were feeling, and take a few deep breaths before another busy day. Then it was a 15-minute walk to the pool, where the good vibes continued.
The gym session was toughβ€”no sugarcoating it! πŸ’ͺ But we pushed through and then played matches against teams that challenged us and pushed us beyond what we thought were our limits. And, of course, all that hard work definitely earned us our daily gelato treat! 🍦
Lunchtime turned into another highlight, with a fun team challenge that brought plenty of laughs. After that, we enjoyed a long break. Some girls hit the beach, others relaxed, a few explored the market, and some went straight to bed for a loooong three-hour napβ€”which, surprisingly, felt like the best idea ever! πŸ˜‚
As the afternoon rolled in, everyone scrambled to be 10 minutes early at the meeting point because, as we all know, β€œOn time is late!” Then came the epic 1-kilometre ocean swim, complete with fish, splashes and plenty of stretching to keep us loose. 🐟🌊
Getting coached by a world-class coach was a next-level experience. We learned new drills, worked on our skills and pushed ourselves to improve. Even though things got a little confusing at times, the structure kept us focused, motivated and excited to learn.
All in all, it was another day packed with sweat, smiles, teamwork and just the right amount of chill. We worked hard, had fun, challenged ourselves and made some awesome memories along the way! πŸ‡²πŸ‡ͺπŸ’™

Montenegro Reflection

The day started off with a nutritious breakfast filled with fresh fruit and all the breakfast essentials. We gathered together for a meaningful talk to start our day, where we set goals and reflected on how we could achieve them.

Our walk to the pool wasn’t far, but it gave us some time to chat, laugh and simply enjoy being together. Once we arrived, Madam Trninic put us through a challenging but beneficial gym session. Jumping into the pool afterwards felt like the ultimate reward, especially in the intense heat! β˜€οΈπŸ’¦

Our pool session was highly enjoyable, and we were taught the importance of getting the basics right. We could already see how much we were learning and how these small details can make a big difference in the water.

After training, we enjoyed some well-deserved ice cream as we walked back to the hotel for lunch. We then had some free time, which was spent enjoying the beautiful beaches and doing a little shopping along the promenade. πŸ–οΈπŸ›οΈ

Later, we gathered again and enjoyed another sunny walk to the pool, this time with some music to keep us entertained. The U15 girls played against the U12 boys, while the U16–U17 girls played against the Canadian team. Both games were great learning opportunities, and we all enjoyed the chance to test ourselves against different players.

Afterwards, we had a good dinner together and enjoyed the rest of the evening on the promenade. Some of us went for ice cream, while others relaxed in our rooms, chatting and spending time with our roommates.

It was a full and exciting day, and we all enjoyed it very much. We ended the day sun-kissed, tired but very happy β€” definitely ready for a good night’s sleep! πŸŒžπŸ’€

Greetings from Montenegro! πŸ‡²πŸ‡ͺ
What a crazy two days it has been! ✈️🌍 We are tired, slightly confused about what day it is πŸ˜‚, but SO excited!
Our adventure started with a 5pm flight from Johannesburg to Turkey. And let us tell you… that flight was LONG! 😴✈️ Many of us tried to get some sleep, although some sleeping positions were definitely more creative than others… cough cough Unami! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
After landing in Turkey, it suddenly hit us β€” THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING! The trip we had all been waiting for was finally here! πŸ‡πŸ‡·πŸŒŠ
Next stop: Croatia! ✈️ The flight was much shorter, which meant those who barely slept on the first flight could finally catch up on about an hour of sleep. πŸ˜‚
When we landed, the first thing we noticed was… IT IS HOT! β˜€οΈπŸ₯΅ Very hot!
We headed to our accommodation, got settled and then everyone did their own thing. Some went sightseeing, some headed straight for the beach to work on their tans β˜€οΈπŸ˜Ž, and some decided that sleeping was the best activity of all! πŸ˜‚
But then came our first team challenge β€” and it was definitely a challenge!
We took on an OPEN-WATER SWIM and swam a massive 2.4km! πŸŒŠπŸŠβ€β™€οΈ
Yes… 2.4km! 😳
It was tough, but we pushed through together and were SO proud of ourselves when we finally finished. πŸ’ͺ🏼❀️
After all that swimming, we had definitely earned our dinner! 🍽️ We enjoyed a well-deserved meal at the hotel and then headed out to explore the promenade, taking in the beautiful surroundings and enjoying our first evening together. πŸŒ…βœ¨
And now… MONTENEGRO, HERE WE COME! πŸ‡²πŸ‡ͺπŸ”₯
We have already made some amazing memories, and we can't wait to see what adventures, challenges and hopefully not too much swimming πŸ˜‚ await us next!
Bring it on! πŸ’™πŸŒŠπŸŠβ€β™€οΈ
