The women’s freestyle wrestling team in Chisinau, Moldova was established in 2001 at LIRPS School, with seven girls, coached by Petru Chiperi. Since it’s debut, the team has achieved great results. Gaina Alina was the first Moldovan female to participate at the World Wrestling Championship, earning the sixth place. Canatui Maria earned the bronze medal at the European Championship in 2010. t remarkable win for Moldova so far was gained by Iulia Leorda winning the silver medal at the Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore, 2010. Nichita Anastasia has won multiple gold and silver medals at the European and World Championships in the last three years, at the same competitions Mariana Dragutan, another beautiful wrestler has brought home bronze medals. With limited resources and support the girls have achieved grand results. Proba de Lupte Libere Feminine a fost infiintata in 2001 la initiativa fostului director LIRPS, Busuioc Sergiu, primul antrenor fiind Petru Chiperi. Proba a debutat cu 7 fete, Gaina Alina, Margine Olesea, Sirghi Elena, Budu Natalia, Dorogan Angela, Macagon Natalia si Chiperi Cristina. Pe parcursul a 16 ani proba de lupte libere feminine s-a bucurat de multe rezultate frumoase precum la competitii nationale cit si la cele internationale. Cum ar fi, Alina Gaina locul 6 la Campionatul Mondial din 2003. Maria Canatui medaliata cu bronz la Campionatul European din 2010. Pina la moment, cel mai remarcabil premiu a fost obtinul de Iulia Leorda, cu medalia de argint la prima editie a Jocurilor Olimpice din Singapore in 2010 iar in 2011 devine vice campioana Euopeana si Mondiala. Un succes marcant a fost inregistrat si de sportivele Nichita Anastasia medaliata cu aur, si Dragutan Mariana medaliata cu bronz la Campionatul European de Juniori din Subotica 2015.
