We are happy that our 912 had very little issues during the race. But on day 6 at the end of a very hot day doing sporting sections(going flat out!) our starter died as we pulled into camp. Luckily we were in camp and able to pull the starter out and then disassembled it to clean up all of the connections internally before reassembling and getting the car back up and running so we could start on time the next day. We have now added a starter to our packing list for Peking to Paris!

Otherwise we just had to keep cleaning copious amounts of dust out of the engine compartment and had to add a couple zip ties to our mud flap so it wouldn’t fully rip off.

We are so grateful that we were able to race in the Sahara Challange in preparation for Peking to Paris. We learned a lot about our car and now have a small list of changes to the car and additions to the packing list. Can’t wait for more.

Still can’t get over how amazing the 12+ days were on the Sahara Challenge. So many great people, amazing cars, crazy roads and good times.

It was our first time in Morocco, and it didn’t disappoint. It was wild and beautiful. We were also very happy with how the car performed. It gave us very little trouble! More details another time. Here are some great shots by until then.

Out of the desert and back into the Atlas Mountains. (And a bit of wifi) Up to 8k feet! Cold and rain. Who thought it would rain all day in the desert…? Day 8 about to start. Car is running great!

We are here in Málaga, Spain for the start of the Sahara Challenge. The car passed scrutineering today and we are set to start the race tomorrow around 10am. Going to be a fun 12 days!

Finally after a year of Covid delays it looks like we are set to race in the Sahara Challange in Spain and Morocco next month. This has been a long time coming. We can’t thank those who helped out with the build and delays enough! for storing the car in Belgium while we waited out the delays. Jack Morris, and for all of the help with this amazing build. One final check in with the car this week in Belgium before it ships to the race! Can’t wait.

Coming along nicely at ! Moving from fabrication to assembly phase! Suspension going in and skid plates all fit and finished. Can’t wait to start testing the car. Soon!

Cage has been painted! Now moving onto skid plates and suspension. at KCW did an amazing job on the fabrication of the cage! Can’t wait for more assembly.
