Gauja XXL 2023 definately was special also for Anett Välling & Raimond Lepiste. Though they didn't succeed to finish 310KM distance, they've managed to fulfill something else unforgettable. :)

Dear Paddlers,
Please be informed that due to reconstruction works started on 24th of April, the bridge over Gauja in Lejasciems will not be possible to use. At the current moment available is only a bridge for pedestrians.
Therefore:
1) The start of 310 KM is planned right after the current bridge - you can get in the river from both banks without any problems. It is more convenient from the left, but then the boat must be carried over the pedestrian bridge.
2) For paddlers of 420 KM (XXL ULTIMATE) - this place will be 1 extra obstacle to carry around your boat.

Informējam, ka kopš 24. aprīļa Gaujas tilts Lejasciemā tiek remontēts un šobrīd pāri Gaujai ir izmantojams tikai paigaidu gājēju tilts.
Tādēļ:
1) 310 KM starts plānots tieši aiz esošā tilta - bez problēmām var tikt upē abos krastos. Ērtāk kreisajā, bet tad laiva jāpārnes pa laipu.
2) 420 KM (XXL ULTIMATE) airētājiem šī vieta būs kā vēl 1 papildus apnesiens.
