The Latvian Open Wakeboarding & Wakesurfing Championship 2026 has officially come to an end! 🔥

On August 30, 21 riders from 🇱🇻 🇺🇦 🇬🇧 🇲🇹 came together at Wake Up Academy in Spuņciems to compete, push their limits and celebrate the sport we love. 🏄‍♂️🌊

A massive THANK YOU to all our riders, spectators, crew, supporters and partners for making this championship such a special day! ❤️

🥇🇱🇻 NO PASAULES ČEMPIONA LĪDZ EIROPAS ČEMPIONAM – ROBERTS LIŅAVSKIS TURPINA RAKSTĪT LATVIJAS VEIKBORDA VĒSTURI

Latvijas veikbordists Roberts Liņavskis turpina apliecināt savu meistarību starptautiskajā arēnā, izcīnot Eiropas čempiona titulu veikbordā aiz laivas Master Men (30+) grupā Eiropas čempionātā Grieķijas pilsētā Kozani. Ar šo panākumu viņš savam pērn izcīnītajam Pasaules čempiona titulam pievienojis arī Eiropas zelta medaļu.

Finālā Roberts demonstrēja pārliecinošu un tehniski augstvērtīgu sniegumu, precīzi izpildot visus iecerētos trikus. Tiesneši viņa braucienu novērtēja ar 61,33 punktiem, kas ļāva pārspēt gan iepriekšējā gada Eiropas čempionu no Šveices, gan kvalifikācijas uzvarētāju no Spānijas.

Šis sasniegums ir vēl viens apliecinājums tam, ka Latvijas sportisti spēj konkurēt un uzvarēt augstākā līmeņa starptautiskajās sacensībās. Tas ir rezultāts talantam, neatlaidīgam darbam, profesionālai sagatavošanai un cilvēkiem, kuri ikdienā iegulda Latvijas sporta attīstībā.

Roberts Liņavskis izcīna zelta medaļu Eiropas čempionātā veikbordā aiz laivas!🎉💪

Grieķijas pilsētā Kozani notiekošajā Eiropas čempionātā veikbordā aiz laivas, lielisku sniegumu ir aizvadījis vairākkārtējs Latvijas čempions veikbordā aiz laivas Roberts Liņavskis, startējot Master Men (30+) grupā. Tādejādi Roberts savam pērn izcīnītajam Pasaules čempiona titulam ir pievienojis arī Eiropas zeltu.🥇Liņavskis savā kvalifikācijas apakšgrupā uzrādīja otro labāko rezultātu, atpaliekot no Spānijas pārstāvja Martina Druille Alonso par 10 punktiem. Finālbraucieni noritēja lieliskos laika apstākļos, kuros Liņavskim izdevās uzlabot savu sniegumu un apsteigt gan pērnā gada čempionu Saschu Gattiker no Šveices, gan arī kvalifikācijas uzvarētāju Martinu Druille Alonso par attiecīgi 2 un 5 punktiem.

Roberts Liņavskis stabīli veica abas sacensību taisnes, izpildot visus paredzētos 10 trikus teicamā kvalitātē. Tiesneši braucienu novērtēja ar 61,33 punktiem, izceļot triku kvalitāti un kompozīcijas daudzveidību.💪

Eiropas čempionāts veikbordā aiz laivas Kozani pilsētā norisinājās no 14.-19. jūlijam. Tajā piedalījās 82 dalībnieki no 11 Eiropas valstīm. Latvija komandu kopvērtējumā ierindojās 7. vietā ar 80 punktiem.

Two Medals for Latvia at the European Wakeboard Championship!🎉🇱🇻🤩

At the European Wakeboard Championship in Deltebre, Spain, two Latvian riders 🇱🇻earned bronze medals: Roberts Liņavskis in the Master Men (30+) group and Atis Bogomazovs in the Veteran Men (40+) group.

Liņavskis scored 56.56 points, finishing third behind Swiss riders Maurus Zwicker (66.44) and Sascha Gattiker (57.78). Competing at this level for the first time, Bogomazovs scored 46.34 points, taking third after Germany’s Dominik Lindemann (53.89) and France’s Daniel Duquesnoy (59.78).

Latvian U14 champion Valters Baltausis also competed but did not reach the finals.

The championship, held October 13–18 in Deltebre, brought together 104 athletes from 12 countries, with Latvia finishing 8th in the team ranking.

🇱🇻 Roberts Liņavskis wrapped up his third World Games appearance in Chengdu with a strong semifinal finish in boat wakeboarding!

💥 After a standout qualifying run that saw him advance ahead of German and Chinese riders, he faced off against legends like Massi Piffaretti 🇮🇹 and S***a Tezuka 🇯🇵 in the semis.

Roberts earned his spot at the Games by winning the Masters (30+) division at the 2024 World Championships — proving once again he’s among the best. 🔥🌊
