The men’s epee individual event was held today, 16 June, in Antony, France, as part of the European Fencing Championships. A total of 116 fencers took part. Luxembourg was represented by Benoit Omont (ESUD), Hervé Colling (CEL), Niklas Prinz (ESUD) and Flavio Giannotte (ESUD).

After the poule round, Flavio Giannotte progressed to the direct elimination phase, while Benoit, Hervé and Niklas did not advance. Flavio defeated Alexandro Taliotis from Cyprus, 15–6, in the Table of 128, before losing 15–9 to Paul Fortin from France in the Table of 64, finishing 48th overall.

Excellent results from Luxembourg’s young fencers! 💥
Luxembourg sabre fencer Guilherme Botelho delivered a fantastic performance at the U14 Circuit Grodziska Szabla 2026 in Grodzisk, Poland, on 23 May, claiming an outstanding 1st place!
In the final, Guilherme defeated Polish fencer Simon Rajlich with a score of 15–8. Great job and congratulations! 👏

Today, 24 May, Luxembourg’s U15 women’s épée team secured 3rd place at the Challenge Aramis competition in Lyon, France, among 12 teams.
The team was composed of Anastasia Cosmidis, Teresa Cuccureddu, Joséphine Martinez and Tatiana Opava. Well done, girls! 💪

The “Chocolate Cup” Eurofence League competition took place in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Robin Szekeres (CEL) achieved 7th place in the U14 age group among 88 participants.

Yesterday, 14 May, the annual sports event Spillfest took place, and fencing was part of the action! 🤺
It was great to see so much excitement around our sport, the line of people wanting to try fencing was incredibly long.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the presentation happen and inspired so many children to discover an interest in fencing.
