Interview mat der aktueller U15 Girls‘ Singles Nummer 64 an Europa, a Jugendnationalspillerin Finja Hansen 🇱🇺
english version 🇬🇧:

1. How did you get into table tennis?
My dad became a coach, and I really wanted to try it out. I liked it and stuck with it.

2. What has been the best moment of your career so far?
Winning the ladies’ championship in 2026, when I converted the match point in the final. It was simply an amazing moment.

3. What does a typical training week look like for you?
* Monday: 2.5 hours of table tennis
* Tuesday: 2 hours of table tennis + 30 minutes of fitness training
* Wednesday: 4 hours of table tennis
* Thursday: 2 hours of table tennis + 30 minutes of fitness training
* Friday: 4 hours of table tennis
* Weekend: Running and fitness training

4. What is the most valuable lesson table tennis has taught you?
To never give up, to always believe in yourself, and to remember that hard work pays off, even when things get challenging.

5. How do you prepare for an opponent before a match?
I usually watch videos of their matches on YouTube. If I’ve played against them before, I also review footage of our previous matches. I focus on their playing style, strengths and weaknesses.

Interview mam lëtzebuerger Dëschtennis Nationalspiller Loris Stephany 🇱🇺🏓
english version 🇬🇧:

1. What is still fascinating you about this sport today?
It’s a sport that offers so much variety. The different spin variations, the different playing styles, and the fact that every opponent presents a new challenge keep it exciting for me.

2. What are your goals for the next few years?
My goals are clear: I want to play an important role in the Luxembourg national team and continue to develop myself on the international stage.

3. Do you have a fixed ritual before a match?
I don’t really have a specific ritual. Before a match, I usually prefer to be alone and prepare myself mentally.

4. What information do you try to gather during the first three rallies?
Normally, I try to watch some videos on YouTube beforehand to see how my opponent plays. If there isn’t anything available online, I focus on identifying what they are uncomfortable with in the serve and receive game and test a few variations.

5. If you could give one piece of advice to a young Luxembourgish player, what would it be?
If you want to achieve something in table tennis, now is the time to fully commit yourself. The hard work you put in today will pay off in the future.
