And just like that, September is here.

I look back at August and I feel so full.

Family. Friends. Time together.
The Mediterranean Sea, the lake, the mountains.
The heat on the skin.
The ocean and the shock of its cold water.
The incredible beauty and power of nature.
And one of the most magnificent sunsets I have ever seen at the edge of Europe.

So many places, so many moments, so much life in just one month.

Starting September with my heart full and a deep sense of gratitude for all of it.

What a beautiful August. 🤍

Yesterday, a friend in his forties told me that sitting on the floor has become genuinely uncomfortable for him.

It made me think about how easily, in the yoga world, we forget that some movements are not obvious for everyone. When yoga is represented by handstands, deep backbends and seemingly impossible poses, it can feel overwhelming.

Someone who struggles to sit on a mat may think, “Yoga is not for me”—when, in fact, it might be exactly for them.

I am not an acrobatic yoga practitioner, but I feel deeply grateful for my ability to bend, rotate, sit on the floor and get up again.

It may not look spectacular, but it is a form of freedom: a way of maintaining the body and continuing to feel at home in it.

And this is only the most visible layer of yoga. The physical practice helps us pause, breathe and eventually turn our attention inward.

You don’t need to be flexible before you begin.

You begin with the body you have today.

Perhaps the real privilege is not doing extraordinary things with our body, but continuing to feel at ease in it while doing the most ordinary ones.

Time to back!
Grateful for this summer…

Even if very sad in some circumstances
It was very precious to spend so many days with my family and a few friends.

🌿 THE RESET SERIES | 04 — OVERWHELM RESET

The holidays are slowly coming to an end.

And, if I’m honest, I’m not feeling completely ready for the transition.

Next week, a new beginning is waiting for me — routines returning, things to organise, decisions to make, a different rhythm to step into.

Maybe some of us are feeling it already: that sense of having one foot still in the spaciousness of summer while the other is being pulled towards everything that is coming next.

So this reset is for us.

Not to make the overwhelm magically disappear.
Not to force ourselves to feel ready.

Just to pause.

To come back to the body and the breath, create a little space around all those thoughts, and meet what is coming one step at a time.

I’m practising this too.

So here is a little Overwhelm Reset I’m using as I prepare for my own transition. Perhaps you might need it too. 🌿

🌿 Child’s Pose — Balasana
🌿 Cat–Cow — Marjaryasana–Bitilasana
🌿 Reclined Bound Angle Pose — Supta Baddha Konasana, staying a little longer and allowing the breath to become slow and spacious, in and out through the nose.

Nothing complicated. Nothing to achieve.

Just a few minutes to soften, breathe and return to ourselves.

We don’t need to have everything figured out before we begin.

Maybe we just need to feel grounded enough to take the next step.

Save this little ritual for those moments when life starts feeling like a lot. 🤍

And if you need a longer pause, I’ve created a free 16-minute Evening Reset to help us unwind, reconnect and come back to ourselves.

🌿 THE RESET SERIES | 03 — HIPS RESET

Mid-August.

For many of us, life moves at a slightly different rhythm. Routines soften, days feel a little more spacious, and perhaps we have an opportunity to notice how much of our everyday life is usually filled.

Filled with plans, commitments, thoughts, things to do.

This little Hips Reset is an invitation to explore something different: creating space.

Space in the body.
Space in the breath.
Space simply to be.

For this short practice, we move through:

🌿 Downward-Facing Dog — Adho Mukha Svanasana
🌿 Pigeon Pose — Eka Pada Rajakapotasana preparation
🌿 Reclined Cow Face Pose — Supta Gomukhasana, gently rocking from side to side
🌿 Half Happy Baby — Ardha Ananda Balasana, one side and then the other
🌿 Happy Baby — Ananda Balasana, to finish

There is nothing to achieve here. We can simply breathe, soften and notice what happens when we make a little more room.

Perhaps this is one of the gifts of this time of year: the reminder that space doesn’t always need to be filled.

Save this little reset for whenever you need it. 🤍

And if you feel like staying a little longer, I’ve created a free 16-minute Evening Reset — a gentle practice to help us unwind and reconnect at the end of the day.
