With the temperatures rising up to 37 degrees in Luxembourg, we would like to share some tips on how to exercise safely in soaring temperatures.
1️⃣ Stay hydrated! Drink about 200-300 ml 30 minutes before your session and continue to sip water throughout the workout. Drink between 500 ml-1L post workout.
2️⃣ Pick a time and space that’s safe to workout. If you’re working out outdoors avoid the hottest part of the day. In the midday, find yourself a spot under the shade. Ideally exercise early in the morning or later in the evening when the sun is going down. If you want to be safe do your workout at a gym with air conditioning.
3️⃣ Adapt and listen to your body! Take it easy, do a workout that’s adapted to the heat. You can slow it down or split it up.
