Club d'Echecs Luxembourg Gare Founded in 1915, Luxembourg 1915 Chess Club is the oldest chess club in the country. We play together at the White Rose Pub in a friendly atmosphere.

Members, visitors, beginners, experienced, young people, seniors, everyone is welcome ! Founded in 1915, Club d’échecs Luxembourg 1915 is the oldest chess club in the country. In 1931, along with four other clubs, it helped to found the Luxembourg Chess Federation. After the war in 1946, Luxembourg 1915, along with other clubs, revived chess life in our country. Alas, no trace remains of the chess

activity of those years, and the Club’s oldest archives have unfortunately disappeared. But the story doesn’t stop there, it continues to be written and enriched ! It would take too long to list all the members of the Luxembourg Chess Club 1915, but the Club would like to pay special tribute to the former Club President, Mr. Norbert Meier, whose unfailing support has always been invaluable.
