With great joy and a huge sense of pride, we successfully completed the last 10 very intense days 🤩

We started in Mersch, where our beginner training camp took place.
A total of 12 youth players participated.
The youngsters were once again able to learn a lot from our coaches Momo and Kai. 🙌🏻

At the same time as our Easter camp in Mersch, three additional coaches from our Fortress Academy traveled to Linz.
On board were Benoit, Mark-Alex, Araceli, Noah, Gilles, Anna-Lena, and Rodrigo.
After a few intense training days with the Austrian national team, the Linz youth tournament took place.

The biggest highlight of the 10 days was definitely participating in the youth tournament in Linz, as this was FORTRESS’s first international tournament!
And it certainly won’t be the last! 🙌🏻

Noah Stemper delivered a very strong performance, reaching the round of 16 in the U11 singles before being eliminated. For him, this was one of his first tournaments on the international stage.
Alongside Noah, Araceli made it to the quarterfinals in the U17 girls’ category. She narrowly lost 1–3 to Slovak national player MRKVICOVÁ Nela. Araceli’s result came as a big surprise to all of us, as it was known that she hadn’t played any matches for three years.

Nevertheless, we must not forget the performances of our other players! Rodrigo impressed us with his fighting spirit. Benoit increasingly shows that he has great potential. Gilles is gradually learning to be a leader and impressed with many individual wins. Anna-Lena also played very strongly. Like Rodrigo, it was her first international tournament, and she also managed to win matches!

Apart from the amazing performances of our young players, our coaches Mirko, Kai, and Christian were able to reconnect with many friends and old acquaintances, with whom future plans and new projects have already been discussed.

In the end, we were very happy to meet our friends from the Luxembourg federation. We had a lot of fun together. 😉

What a great start to the new year!
Once again, we had many happy and smiling faces at our Winter Training Camp in Medernach!
Besides the delicious lunch, our participants also had a lot of fun with the focus areas and the training program 🥵
A huge THANK YOU to DT Olympic Medernach for the smooth and excellent cooperation!

Even back then, I appreciated the communication and exchange between the coaches. So when I heard about the goals and that the academy plans to grow and expand, I didn’t hesitate for a second—I immediately wanted to be part of the team again.

As Head Coach, I bring core values such as respect, discipline, and structure into the training environment. I will also support our younger coaches and pass on my experience. With my authentic approach, I aim to get the best out of our players—without ever letting the fun fall by the wayside."

🗣️ : "What I like about Fortress is the opportunity to give every player who loves table tennis and wants to improve the chance to do just that. We support kids in their individual rhythm, trying to make the journey both professional and fun. We believe in listening to the players first, understanding their goals and aspirations, rather than setting rigid limits from the start.

My role at Fortress is not only as a table tennis coach but also as a sports psychologist. As a former Czech national player and a coach with a formal education in psychology, I know how important it is to be in a good mental state and to know how to handle pressure — no matter the level of sport you're playing.

I focus on bringing mental know-how to the table. I love working from a holistic point of view, focusing on the individuality of each player. Especially with young athletes — but not only them — it's hard to walk this path alone. That's why we have Fortress: a place where we share compassion and experience to support every one of our players, so no one feels alone. Come and join us!"
