Samsonas Rally Utena on Sunday morning immediately held a surprise - on the way to the start of the seventh special stage, the Škoda Fabia N5 of Martynas Samsonas and Ervinas Snitkas stopped - the cardan shaft of their car failed, which means that this car will not be the winner of the rally for the second time in a row. Things were not so rosy for Saturday's leader - K.P. Nordstand - either: the Norwegian lost 16 seconds to the winner of the eighth stage and dropped from first to fourth place. Meanwhile, Estonian Egon Kaur regained the top position. 8.27 s. and 8.27. was the gaps of V. Jurkevičius and E. Blūms from the leader.
J.Tamašauskas with A.Pranckūnas and BMW M3 are unsurpassed in the 2WD classification. The closest to them was Justas Simaška with Aras Kalėda, but on the eighth stage, they had rear wheel problems.
