Racing Rules of Sailing, rule 18.3. Discussion: was the tack inside the zone? Was starboard boat sailing deeper angle than close hauled? Watch slow motion video and post your opinion (we got a dsq for this tack).

RSS 18.3 states:
If a boat in the zone of a mark to be left to port passes head to wind
from port to starboard tack and is then fetching the mark, she shall
not cause a boat that has been on starboard tack since entering the
zone to sail above close-hauled to avoid contact and she shall give
mark-room if that boat becomes overlapped inside her. When this
rule applies between boats, rule 18.2 does not apply between them.

Another regatta - another 4th place! 😎 This year was full of tricky and challenging low wind conditions which, together with a strong competition, delivered a fantastic week of sailing. And even though the podium was out of reach again, we gathered a lot of valuable experience in preparation for the Lithuanian Platu 25 Championship coming in just a few weeks!
