More than 23 female footballers from across Liberia Football Association Upper and Lower leagues on Friday, June 12, 2026 began a two‑month computer training program at the Girls in Technology Liberia Empowering Women and Transforming Lives School.

Classes will be held twice weekly, and upon completion, each participant will receive certification.

She emphasized that transportation stipends will be provided for each class day to ensure consistent attendance.

Youboty further disclosed that the best‑performing student will receive a special package, including seed money to start a business and a scholarship to advance their education. At the opening session, each participant was given US$20 for transportation to the next class on Tuesday, June 16.

The recently resigned President of Real Muju Football Club, Youboty urged the trainees to take the program seriously, noting that the skills acquired could transform their futures.

Senior Female Professional Football Club President Emmett Stages Glassco reject Liberia Football Association Marketing Committee.

Dear Mr SG,
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the confidence and trust placed in me through my appointment as a member of the Marketing and Sponsorship Committee.
After careful consideration, I respectfully wish to decline the appointment. Due to personal and professional commitments, I believe I will not be able to dedicate the time and attention necessary to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the committee. As such, I feel it is in the best interest of the committee and the LFA for me to step aside at this time.
I remain grateful for the opportunity and appreciate the confidence shown in my abilities. I wish the committee every success in its efforts and look forward to supporting the LFA objectives in any way possible in the future.
Thank you for your understanding.

Yours sincerely,

Senior Female Professional Football Club President Emmett Stages Glassco send an open letter to Liberia Football Association President Mustapha Raji and the newly elected Executive Committee Members.

To Mr. Mustapha I Raji and Members of the LFA Executive Committee,
The continued failure to transparently account for and distribute the financial support reportedly provided by the Liberia Maritime Authority to the Liberia Football Association is deeply concerning to clubs across the country.
Football clubs are the foundation of Liberian football. They invest their limited resources in developing players, maintaining teams, and sustaining competitions. When financial assistance intended to support football development does not reach the clubs, it raises serious questions about transparency, accountability, and the commitment of the leadership to the growth of the game.
I therefore call on the President and Executive Committee of the LFA to provide a full public disclosure regarding the Maritime funds, including the total amount received, the intended purpose of the funds, and how the money has been utilized. Clubs deserve to know why they have not benefited from resources that were expected to strengthen football development.
Good governance is built on openness, accountability, and fairness. The clubs and the football community deserve clear answers, not silence. We urge the LFA leadership to act responsibly and ensure that all stakeholders are treated with the respect and transparency they deserve.
Liberian football can only move forward when trust exists between the leadership and the clubs that make the game possible.
Thank you.

Best regards
Emmett Stages Glassco

Edwin Snowe Recalls George Weah’s crucial intervention in Mali 2002

Former Liberia Football Association President, Edwin Melvin Snowe, has shared a remarkable story from Liberia’s campaign at the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations in Mali.
According to Snowe, the national team faced serious challenges after their opening match, with players stranded and the camp in disarray ahead of the second fixture, at that critical moment, George Weah stepped in with a single phone call that, in Snowe’s words, “changed everything” for the squad.

The intervention ensured stability for the team and underscored Weah’s enduring influence and commitment to Liberian football, even beyond his playing career.

BREAKING NEWS

Real Muja Football Club President Randelle Youboty resigned with immediate effect.

Here’s the President resignation;

June 10, 2026

To the Leadership, Staff, Players, and Supporters of Real Muja FC,

It is with a heavy heart that I submit my resignation as President of Real Muja FC, effective
immediately.
This decision has not been made lightly. Unfortunately, differences in business practices and
organizational alignment have made it difficult for us to reach a mutual understanding on how to
move forward together. As a result, I believe it is in the best interest of all parties for me to step
down from my role.
Serving as President of Real Muja FC has been an honor and a privilege. I am incredibly grateful for
the opportunity to work alongside such talented players, dedicated staff, and passionate
supporters. Watching the growth and development of the girls both on and off the field has been
one of the most rewarding experiences of my time with the club.
While I am stepping away from my position, I will continue to support and cheer on the team from
afar. I have great admiration for the players and coaching staff and remain hopeful for the club's
future success.
I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the journey we have shared. Although we
were unable to come to a conclusion regarding our ways of working, I sincerely wish the entire Real
Muja FC family continued success and growth in the years ahead.
I leave with appreciation, respect, and best wishes for the future.

Sincerely,

Randelle Youboty
President (Resigning)
Real Muja FC
