By: Godfrey George Gbalayan - Public Relations Officer - SYDAL
The Sapo Youth Development Association of Liberia (SYDAL) is pleased to announce that, following the successful registration of seven (7) initial members for the University of Liberia Entrance Examination, an additional seven (7) members have been registered as of June 10, 2025. This brings the total number of registered participants to fourteen (14), thereby enhancing the prospects for Sapo youths to access higher education.
Under the auspices of its Education, Scholarship, and Cultural Committee, SYDAL is making commendable strides in facilitating educational opportunities for Sapo sons and daughters. President Oliver T. Davis has recognized the diligent efforts of the Committee, led by Mr. Randall G. Solo, in prioritizing educational advancement for the youths within the Sapo community.
The leadership expresses optimism in increasing the registered participants to a total of twenty (20) before the entrance registration deadline on June 14, 2025.
In a recent meeting with prominent Sapo citizens, including Hon. Philip Kpayoun Wakocco and Hon. Chan Sieh, arrangements for tutorial classes for registered members have been made, with the commencement contingent upon securing an appropriate venue.
Additionally, in a gesture of support for SYDAL's entrance initiative, Mr. Prince J. Blaty has generously contributed LRD 4,000 to further bolster this educational endeavor. We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Blaty and all contributors who continually support our initiatives. We also call upon national and local leaders, humanitarians, international partners, and philanthropists to join us in this effort aimed at promoting educational advancement and unity among Sapo citizens.
