Miss Sharon T. Sims Uplifts Margibi Kickball With Surprise Support
In a heartwarming display of dedication and generosity, Miss Sharon T. Sims, the Margibi County Youth Chairlady and former kickball player, continues to exemplify what it means to give back to one's roots. Known for her consistent support toward grassroots sports and humanitarian efforts, Miss Sims made a surprise appearance on May 8, 2025, at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex, where she caught one of Margibi County's First Division kickball teams, Destiny Kickball Club, in action.
With Destiny Kickball Club gearing up for a pivotal away fixture in Grand Bassa County on May 9, Miss Sims offered practical assistance by donating five gallons of gasoline in cash value to help with transportation logistics. Her timely gesture, though modest, meant a great deal to the team, reaffirming the importance of community solidarity in sports development.
During her visit, Miss Sims took a moment to encourage the players, urging them to put forth their best efforts. “Play with unity, discipline, and pride,” she said, “and let’s keep putting Margibi on the map in the world of Liberian kickball.”
Her presence and words of encouragement came as a moral booster to the young women, many of whom look up to her not only as a leader but also as someone who understands their journey—having played kickball for Margibi, Nimba, and River Cess counties herself.
Currently engaged in several humanitarian initiatives both within and outside Margibi, Miss Sims continues to build a legacy that bridges sports, youth empowerment, and service to community.
Destiny Girl's Kickball Club expressed deep appreciation for the support and vowed to play their hearts out in their upcoming match.
