Discipline: Physician Assistant

Thank you for providing this opportunity for Liberians, sir.
My name is David Ben Faryah. I’m a 2019-2020 graduate as a valedictorian from New life Foundation High School of Bethel in Phebe B**g County. During my time in high school, I always dreamed about getting a scholarship to further my studies at the university and study Physician Assistant, to fulfill that dream, I always used to study harder. That was one motivation to me becoming a valedictorian of my class, from my grade 10 level up to graduation, I served as dux for my class.

I’m majoring Physician Assistant, a sophomore student at Cuttington University. Since my graduation from high school, things haven’t been easy on me since I started my University journey in 2021. Been out of school for more than four semesters, during my first semester, I had a GPA of 3.77 and could not continue the following semester due to financial problems.

I applied for many scholarships at that time but I was not successful. The most closest one was the MOE scholarship where I wrote their placement test and got good grades and even sat for the interview. I was unable to get scholarship that semester and I sat down for two semesters and got a chance again to continue after two semesters. During that semester, I obtained a GPA of 3.82. The following semester, I couldn’t continue my studies again due to financial issues again and this time it was worst, my dad got seriously ill and couldn’t continue working and I had to drop again for another two semesters. I applied for many scholarships but was unfortunate to not receive some.

This semester, my uncle promised to pay my fees but unfortunately let me down last minute to time, it was through Online Parrot, I was able to get few tuition aid from good people to resume my studies this semester. I’m very grateful to Online Parrot and those goodwill individuals who helped me.

Providing me this opportunity to continue my studies won’t just be a help to me but it will mean a lot to me for aspiration as a Physician Assistant and I promise to make the best use of it and help Mama Liberia in the health sector. Thanks once again for providing such an excellent opportunity for Liberian citizens looking at the hardship and the cost of tuition in this country. May God richly bless you and your family.
