SIERRA LEONE’S HOPE TO HOST FEMALE INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT RETURNS.

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association has confirmed that the Female WAFU Zonal rights which was awarded to Sierra Leone in 2018 but withdrawn due to the FIFA suspension has been reawarded to Sierra Leone.

According to the FA President Madam Isha Johansen who also serves as Africa’s first elected female CAF Executive Committee Member and President of Women’s football for Africa, “talks with WAFU ZONE B Chairman and SENEGAL FA President have proven positive to host the female tournament and we are in the process of discussing suitable dates.”

The FA media has also been informed that the category will most likely be the Female Senior sides.
