ලාංකීය මලල ක්රීඩා ඉතිහාසය අලුතින් ලියූ අපේ කාන්තා 4*400m කණ්ඩායම ගැන
4*400m සහාය දිවීමේ ඉසව් සදහා ශ්රී ලංකා පිරිමි කණ්ඩායම් අතීතයේ සිටම විශිෂ්ට දක්ශතා දක්වා ඇත.
නමුත් කාන්තා 4*400m කණ්ඩායම් 2023 වර්ශය ආරම්භය දක්වා සලකාබැලූවිට ආසියානු මට්ටමේ ලබගත් ඉහළතම පදක්කම වූයේ 2002 වසරේදී කොළඹ දී පැවැත්වූ ආසියානු ශූරතාවයේ දී දිනාගත් ලෝකඩ පදක්කම පමණි. ආසියානු ක්රීඩා උළෙල තුනකට (1982- 3:57.85 6වන ස්ථානය, 1998- 3:40.05 5වන ස්ථානය හා 2006- 3:49.04 5වන ස්ථානය) පමණක් සාහාභාගී වී තිබුණි.
මෙම ඉසව්වෙන් ශ්රී ලංකාව දකුණු ආසියානු ක්රීඩා උළෙලකදී වුවද ප්රථම වරට රන් පදක්කම දිනා ගත්තේ 2019 වසරෙදීය.
කෙසේ වුවත් 2019 වසරේදී ආසියානු ශූරතාවයේ දී ශ්රී ලංකා කණ්ඩායම වසර 20 පැරණි ශ්රී ලංකා වාර්තාව අලුත් කරමින් 3:35.06 ක කාලයක් වාර්තා කරමින් 4 වන ස්ථානයට පත්විය. පසුව 2023 ජූලි 16 වන දින නදීශා, තරුශි, සයුරි සහ හර්ශනී ආසියානු ශූරතාවයේදී 3:33.27 කාලයකින් නව ශ්රී ලංකා වාර්තාවක් සමගින් රිදී පදක්කම දිනා ගන්නා ලදී.
ශ්රී ලංකා මලල ක්රීඩාවේ අලුත් පරිච්ඡේදයක් ලියමින් එතනින් නොනැවතී ශ්රී ලංකා කාන්තා 4*400m කණ්ඩායමක් ආසියානු ක්රීඩා උළෙලේදී ප්රථම වතාවට පදක්කමක් ශ්රී ලංකාව වෙනුවෙන් ලබා දීමට පසුගියදා සමත්වුනා. නදීශා රාමනායක, ජයේශි උත්තරා, සයුරි මෙන්ඩිස් හා තරුශි කරුණාරත්න මෙම දක්ශතාවය දැක්වීමට සමත්කම් දැක්විය.
තරුශි සහ ජයේශි තවමත් පාසල් යන ක්රීඩිකාවන්ය.
මෙම කණ්ඩායම දැක්වූ දකශතාවය 3:30.88 ආසියානු ක්රීඩා උළෙල වසර 72ක ඉතිහාසයේ ඕනෑම ක්රීඩා උළෙලකදී පදක්කමකට හිමිකම් කියන දක්ශතාවයක් වන අතර ලෝකඩ පදක්කම දිනාගත් වේගවත්ම කාලයයි.
එය 2023 ආසියානු ශ්රේණිගත කිරීම අනුව 3වන ස්ථානයත්, ලෝක ශ්රේණිගත කිරීම් අනුව 25 වන ස්ථානයටත් පත්ව ඇත.
කාන්තා 4*400m කණ්ඩායම තත්පර 4.18කින් වසර ආරම්භයේදී තිබූ වාර්තාව ඉහළ නංවා ඇත. මේ අනුව ආසියානු කලාපයේ තරගාවලි අඩු වුවත්, 2023 වර්ශයේදී ලැබූ අවස්ථා 2දීම ශ්රී ලංකා වාර්තා අලුත් කරමින් ක්රීඩිකාවන් රටට ලබාදුන් ජයග්රහණය විශිෂ්ඨයි.

About our women's 4*400m team who newly wrote the history of Sri Lankan athletics
The Sri Lankan men's teams have been performing excellent performances from the past for the 4*400m support run events.
But when the women's 4*400m teams considered until the beginning of 2023, the highest medal at the Asian championship won in Colombo in 2002. Only attended three Asian Games (1982- 3:57.85 6th place, 1998- 3:40.05 5th place and 2006- 3:49.04 5th place)
Sri Lanka won the gold medal for the first time in 2019 even at a South Asian Games in the event.
However, the Sri Lankan team ranked 4th in the 2019 Asian championship renewing the 20-year-old Sri Lanka record of 3:35.06 Nadeesha, Tharushi, Sayuri and Harshani later won the silver medal with a new Sri Lanka record at the Asian championship on July 16, 2023.27.
Writing a new chapter in Sri Lankan Athletics, a Sri Lankan women's 4*400m team passed to hand out a medal for Sri Lanka for the first time at the Asian Games Festival yesterday. Nadeesha Ramanayake, Jayeshi Uttara, Sayuri Mendis and Tharushi Karunaratne were able to perform this performance.
Tharushi and Jayashi are still schooling players.
The team's capability 3:30.88 Asian Games is the fastest time to win a bronze medal at any sports festival in the 72 year history.
It is ranked 3rd in 2023 Asian rankings and 25th in world rankings.
The women's 4*400m team has raised the record at the start of the year in 4.18 seconds. Though the matches in the Asian Region are reduced according to this, the victory given by the players to the country by renewing the records of the 2 chances in 2023 is great.
