🏏 Match Summary – U17 Division I One Day Tournament
A commanding performance by St. Anthony’s College, Wattala secured a convincing 5-wicket victory over Sri Dharmaloka College, Kelaniya in the U17 Division I One Day encounter played at M.B. Ground, Godagamuwa.
After winning key moments with the ball, St. Anthony’s bundled out Sri Dharmaloka College for 143 runs in 34.5 overs. Leading the bowling attack brilliantly, Bihandu Hansana starred with an outstanding spell of 6 wickets for 42 runs in 10 overs, while Sadeesha Kavinda provided excellent support, claiming 2 wickets for 24 runs in 9.5 overs.
In reply, St. Anthony’s chased down the target comfortably, reaching 145/5 in 28.3 overs. Sadeesha Kavinda delivered an explosive unbeaten knock of 38 off just 14 balls*, smashing 4 sixes and 3 fours, to seal the victory in style. Valuable contributions also came from Karindra Kujana (25), Chaveen Navodh (18), and Chamath Damsara (18).
